- This is NOT one of my FlossTube videos....It's just an update to let those of you who are wondering where I've been and if I'm OK know what I've been up to and tell you about the major transition we are in.
I hope you have found true happiness and peace. We all miss your encouraging words and pray part of Gods plan is to have you return to your flosstube family. Hope to hear your beautiful voice again.
I'm back finally!!!!! Thank you for your patience while I took my break. I just put on a new video and I'm back to visit with my dear friends again!

I just found you today, Bonnie by happening onto your #3 video. I liked you so much that I found your channel and began by listening to this video! And I am so thankful for your sharing in such an honest way of your change. It was just what I needed because my husband and I are going thru the exact same thing at this time. The Lord is moving us back "home" to small town Iowa after living in IL for the past 25 years. This is the time, the Lord said... Our faith in Jesus Christ is also our solid foundation. Thankyou so much and I hope you will be back flosstubing again.

Bonnie, I don't know when you will see this but please know that you and your family are in my prayers. I didn't realize how much I had missed you until I watched this again ~ your faith has encouraged me each time I've watched you and it did again tonight at a time when I surely needed to be uplifted. Thank you for your heart and your beautiful spirit. I pray that you are well and happy and hope to be able to see you again. My mom lives near Montrose, I was just there and it's beautiful ~ I pray that you and your husband are there!
Thank you! I just got brave enough to try to log back into my youtube account for the first time since I did my last video and yours is the first comment I'm responding to. It's been a long journey making this move and the major changes in our lives. We did by in Montrose and are just transitioning to fulltime life out here and just adore it! oh Bonnie!! I am SOOO glad you popped in. Like many of the others, I was terribly worried. I know this phase is a hard one, but it is also exciting! Knowing that God has you is enough. You are enough. oh there is so much I want to say... but know that you and your husband are lifted in preciouses prayer and you are going to be okay... you will have the peace that you desire ... and I for one, will be on the other side and looking forward to hearing all about your adventures in moving. Bonnie you always touch my heart! We went through exactly what you are going through 3 years ago. We moved to a completely different type of community far from the maddening crowd. Letting go of a home we had raised children in and around neighbors that we still miss terribly was beyond hard. I had to appease myself that it was time for the next family to step in and enjoy the wonderful schools and neighbors. We still question our choice but looking back is like letting someone steal your time. Push on girl... I know you know God has you. Step off the ledge and trust. Breathe and embrace it ...It's going to be wonderful once you land. So many blessings to you and much love!

Greetings to Colorado. My husband and I are former Californians who moved here to CO 30+ years ago. A lot of the things you love about CA, you'll find here. BTW, there are LOTS of stitching and quilting groups here. I go to stitch-ins several days a week. Sunday I went to two! The easiest way to find a church is to "visit" them online.

So glad you checked in, Bonnie! I know the Lord will prepare a place for you , your hubs and Riley - wherever that may be. I’m sure it would be nice to be close to your Dad in Colorado, but God will work out all the details and logistics - AND, He might even prepare a whole stitching community for you right there! He knows exactly what you need and where He needs you to be. Go in His love and trust Him with every detail. “I know the plans I have for you - plans to prosper you, not harm you”! And the FT community will be there when you’re ready!

So excited you are getting a new place where ever you end up! I figured that was why you were not online. I want to let go of so much stuff because I know it would be so freeing! I know it will be so hard to let go! But I know my husband would have a harder time.
Hope you can keep your cabin! Our cabin is over 500 miles from here but I will do everything to keep it! If you move to Colorado you be just North of our cabin in the great Rocky MountainsI I would love to sale this home of 47 years even though we raised our 3 children here. So proud of you and courage to step into a new life where you have more freedom and newness of life. How fun! Keep us posted. The one thing you will always have is the Lord with you, how wonderful that will be!!!
I have new neighbors (here in Wyoming) who just moved from California....for many of the same reasons you mentioned. Both are in their 60s and are constantly surprised at how much "calmer" their lives are. As quickly as things are falling into shape you know you are being led for a reason. And since it's your dad, he can sell it to you for whatever he chooses! I'm about ready to just give my son our house...HE can do all the updating it needs!! Hugs to you...it will be fine!!

I can relate to that mind clutter to where no stitching can occur. I could tell that you're a Christian conservative from Flosstube #1. I'm a homeschooler, too, and even living in The Bible Belt now, I feel too conservative here many times! You're standing on The Rock and I pray for all blessings upon you and your next chapter. ❤️
I discovered your videos a few days ago when the cabochon tutorial popped up for no logical reason. Perhaps divine intervention? I realize you have landed in CO already. So happy to hear you found a good place to be and are stitching again. We went through a very similar early retirement and move a few years ago. Isn't it amazing when God lines things up as they should be for what we need to happen when we allow Him to be in charge?! I look forward to learning more about your adventures. I was so happy to see you posted this chat. I was thinking about you today and missing you. What you are doing is what I think about all the time. I will be 75 next month and I know I need to downsize. It is so emotional to let go. I just helped my niece with cleaning out my brother's house after he passed away in November and it made me realize that I need to go through and clean out. Wow life is really a test. I think you are amazing in how you are dealing with this big change. I send you love and best wishes. Let us know how you are doing along the way.

I’ve been in your shoes twice! It’s hard but you will be doing the right thing. We left CA 5 years ago to AZ and this past year we moved to NV to be closer to our kids. We were to far away from family. Most of our friends have left CA. Best of luck to you and moving is exhausting!

When my baby left for college....we moved. We stepped out on faith and moved to a place we had never been...God led us the entire way. You have already done the hardest part....deciding to act. We have been absolutely blessed.
Catching up on old videos. Thinking about you and hoping everything is going well in your life. I so enjoy your projects that you share with us.
Its a huge step in life and The Lord has your life in His Hand and will take care of you all your life. Its very challenging to move. We also took that step 5 years ago and moved from the west coast to the east coast to be closer to our daughter and am loving every minute of our life here. The Lord got our home sold within one week and that was the sign we needed!
I can’t imagine moving after so many years in one home. We’ve been in ours for over 30 years and I SO love everything about it. We moved all the time as a child so this was/is my first forever home. I have gardens, fruit trees, our daughter was married in our living room, it’s the only grandparent home our grands know….the list goes on and on. We’ve talked about moving but I am SO attached to our area also. Purging would take forever I believe. I actually did purge my large craft room after hubby purchased floor to ceiling shelves for me. Everything is organized now and it was rather easy to make up blessing bags for our favorite charity…..but, still. At this point I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Hubby would pack up much faster than I. LOL…….I thank you for sharing your adventure with us. It’s helping me greatly. Psalm 91….all day, every day. Beverly

I too don’t deal well with change but have found that before a change I always go thru a period of unrest and discontent, but God always knows best and changes have been good. Bonnie..it was SO good to see you here I couldn’t wait to start your video! I’m happy that you’re ok! I’m sorry you’re leaving CA…I’m in SoCal also, but I’m happy here and it’s where my kids and grandkids are so I’m staying…but I remember when I moved here 35 yrs ago..from Torrance all the way up to Ventura Co (ha! Well it SEEMED like a long way! Lol)..my moms best friend told me something that really helped..can’t remember her exact words but basically saying that my life would now revolve around our new home and area…35 yrs later and she was right! ! You will love where you move and it will be wonderful I just know! ❤️ And thanks for the minimalist inspiration..I need to go thru my parents things that I kept and decide what to release..it’s so very hard😢

Hello Bonnie, best of luck to you and your husband. One thing that comes through in your amazing videos, in addition to your amazing needle talent, is your strong faith. You are not alone, a lot of people are making the move away from California. I live in NC, and we have a lot of families moving here from other states. I moved here with my family as a teenager from Michigan. Fear of the unknown is always troubling, but it will be an adventure and your amazing faith with see you through.

I was just thinking of you! I took one of those wooden card boxes from the big box stores and stained it, mod podged it, and finished it very similarly as you showed on your channel. I showed it on IG last night. You are so brave to march with your feet and find a new home in a better state!!! I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers! ♥️🙏🏻🇺🇸

I just wanted to say that we went through the same thing in 2015. We were living in California on 30 acres that had been my husband's Grandparents for over 80 years. We purchased from them the year after we were married. We lived there for 38 years. We were both retired. California was getting to expensive, we were much older, my husband physically couldn't take care of our property as it should be. We made the decision to make a change. We are in Texas. 💕 It. It was hard but so worth & very glad we did it. One last note. We had thought about Colorado but neither of us wanted the cold. Good luck. You will look back on your memories & treasure them.

I was worried about you Bonnie. Thank you for making a video and letting us know you're ok. Uprooting is plain hard and stepping out of the familiar is very scary. OMGOSH Bonnie, I hurt for your struggle right now. I recently did what your doing. I live in California and yes it’s crazy here now. I gave up my peaceful property, 3 acres, quiet, and peace. We had lots of trees and we’re in the forest. We sold our house in a whirl wind and I cried so much. I sat on our swing and I would just listen to the wind go through the trees. That was 6 months ago. We down sized so much, donated, through away stuff, memories. We’re we moved I am still not settled and yes I still miss my property. But the good things that have happened I keep reminding myself that it will be ok. I see my grandchildren and all three of my childrenchildren, all three of them are close more and I’m making new memories. I struggle with
Sorry I pressed the button, I meant to say I live close to all three of my children and their families and making new memories. I struggle because I have never liked change. But have faith it is all going to be ok. Breathe deep. Everything will fall in place. My heart aches for you because I was you, I am you it’s not easy. I hope you stay connected to your flosstube because we are all there for you. And enjoy your watching your flosstube I actually started quilting because of you and I enjoy it. One of the first things I did when we moved in was worked on my happy place, my craft room. That has helped so much. See you soon. It will be ok

One day my friend was having a panic attack because she had to drive up the the capital city and I said to her just invite the Lord to travel with you on the car. She had the best trip. Yes, you have been missed…. I can also see my life with some similarities to yours. I am also dealing with a possible move, only alone. My fiancé died two years ago. You are right saying God knows your future. I remind myself of this all the time. It calms me and keeps me focused. You will be fine.
There is no growth without change. However, change is terrifying. It sucks. As you go through the next few months you will look back on this time, and appreciate how far you have come, literally and figuratively. You are strong, and will do well. I wish you and your husband all the very best.

It will be fine you'll see we did the same 2 years ago life changes new adventures beckon ! We have never looked back, good friends will always be your friends.I know its seems scary right now but our lives are so much more chilled and new adventures await. I think the most difficult thing is trying to be content in times of stress and turmoil. I think of Paul in prison and how he learned to be content in all situations. I wish I understood that at different times. I think as Christians we grow more thru His Word and we get new insight. Focus on the good things. There is so much good in minimalism. I totally understand what you are saying. Stuff can be stressful. I admire you for what you are doing. It is going to work out for the best. Dig up a couple of your favorite plants to take with you. I have done this with every house move. I have restarted flowerbeds at every house because no one gardens like I do. I just love flowers! Start getting excited about all the new varieties of plants you are going to encounter because of the growing season. It's exciting. Hunt down those undiscovered plant nurseries in the area you are moving too. Yes, a new adventure in so many ways. I will pray God will bless you with peace and contentment wherever you end up. God is amazingly good all the time!

Took that leap of faith after having dreamt of a dove molting then blinked and the bird had bright white feathers and flew away. I started minimalizing without understanding why but knew God and Jesus were holding my hands. That was seventeen years ago and the leap I took was 10 yrs from Delaware to Maui with barely a dime in my pocket but I did it and can't imagine ever going back. My faith is even stronger and continues to grow stronger as do my wings. Enjoy the journey❤
