Yes, me too. I got mine removed after an afternoon of intense pain. I had complications post surgery, but It’s been 6 months now and I can eat whatever I want without any side effects. I wish you a speedy full recovery.
I'm relieved that you received it on time. I underwent an ERCP at the start of 2022, and the pain was intense. I can only imagine how frightened you and your parents must have been. I'm glad you're feeling better now, and please take good care of yourself! x
I am so sorry that you had to go through that horrible experience. I also had to start the new year in the hospital and had a big health scare and it truly gets you thinking about how health really is wealth. It's wonderful to see that you were able to share your experience and are recovering. Praying for you and wish you nothing but the best.
Are you okay?! Sending you virtual hugs and kisses! Please please take it easy on yourself, drink a shit ton of water, eat when you're hungry, enjoy slow movements like walking or stretching. Sending you virtual hugs and kisses!
Oh my god. That’s so scary. I’m glad you were with your family at the time. Also, I’m glad they caught it and got it taken care of. I hope you feel better soon and get lots of good rest ❤️ 🥺
Oh you poor thing!! I had that happen to me back in 2013 and it was the worst pain ever, my gallbladder was infected that apparently it was turning black… So many of my family members have had stones removes. Apparently it can be hereditary, but also caused by losing weight fast (in my case, both haha). So glad you're feeling better and that you had your family near you!
That sounds terrifying and painful!! I’m so sorry that happened to you. I’m glad you had family there with you when it happened. Hope you’re feeling better soon 🤍
I’m so happy that you’re okay! Anything having to do with going to the hospital is so scary, I’m sorry you had to experience that. Love watching your videos and this definitely got me emotional, again so happy you’re okay. Sending you love and positive vibes!
I can feel you, I've had gallbladder issues for about 2 years and now I have gallstones (used to be sludge) but I'm doing fine! I've been taking natural supplements and it's helped so much with my symptoms. Eventually might have to get surgery but I'm trying to avoid it bc of the life long side effects
I’m so sorry you had to spend the end of your 2023 this way but happy to hear you’re recovering! 2024 is going to be your year, I can feel it. And can’t wait to see it too! 💕
Omg Skya… I’m so happy you’re safe. I’m so sorry you went through all of this during the holidays. Thank you for your transparency but just so glad you’re safe!
i never comment but felt compelled to bc i love your videos and truly feel for you. how scary this experience must have been ! i have also had a health scare in the past and it was terrifying, to this day i can barely talk about it without wanting to cry. thank you so much for being transparent and i hope you recover well, and things continue to get brighter for you from here 💛
OMG! I'm so sorry u had to experience this pain, I got my gallbladder surgically removed in 2022 when I felt a popping sensation lol! wishing a quick and safely recovery love
Oh girl, I feel you when I got my gallbladder out my body reacted badly and all my levels dropped in my blood and then ended up in the ICU for a week and a half. people think your gallbladder out is an easy procedure but for some people it just isn’t. I’m wishing you a quick recovery and sending lots of love
Hey!! I’m so sorry you went through this because honestly it sucks. I had my gallbladder removed on Halloween 2023. Before this I had intense back pain on and off for about 6 years and it would always happen at night for about 4 hours. Then one night I got the pain and it was so brutal, throwing up, cramping and I thought I was dying. My husband took me to the ER after dropping off our baby at my moms and after 5 hours they said I had a blockage in my gallbladder and needed it removed or else next time I could get sepsis and die. They also discovered a hernia that I have to have removed as well but that will be later because girl, I can’t. Lol. The worst pain I felt though was being unable to carry my baby for 6 weeks. Take care of yourself and no heavy lifting for a while. You got this!❤
What a way to start the new year. I’m trying to be healthy myself and my biggest hurdle is spicy food. I can already feel my body reject it, so I have to listen to my body. Glad you’re okay!
Yes you definitely have to eat spicy foods in moderation these days or at least enjoy it every once in a while or find alternatives. I'm glad you're listening to your body.
Omg how scary! Glad you’re okay and glad you recovered. It’s interesting you said you had stomach problems in October like we literally don’t know what goes on inside bc we can’t see we have to rely on feeling.
So Sorry you had to go through that im aware of the irritation of gallbladder problems because of My grandma Mom Aunt stepmom All had theirs removed i watched some of them go through the symptoms and still see the after effects their digestive system will never be the same so it affects how you eat for the rest of your life. I hope i dont come across this as well.
So glad your better now! I can totally relate!! I had sludge and Gallstones in my gallbladder. I would have periodic gallstone attacks like you experienced but they would pass and I just would go on. it was the worse Pain/feeling of my life! worse than child birth! so I finally went to the Dr and they said I had gallstones that were trying to pass but obviously couldn't as they were to big to pass which was causing the squeezing/pulsing/contraction type pain. I had my gallbladder removed in 2022. Just do you research post op now! Digestion enzymes and things like that will become helpful as you have no gallbladder anymore. but it is very common! You will probably see changes in your bowel movements etc..you will see now when you eat it will go through you like literally 5 min later! so you'll have to be cognizant of nearest bathrooms when you eat/travel! but so glad your better! not too sure if you follow Sophia Chang on here but a few years back she had hers removed for similar attacks and so I watched her vlogs about it when I was going through my surgery LOL it was comforting to relate! You will still live a perfectly normal life! just a few changes is all!
Hey Skya! I'm so glad you are recovering well! I am a nurse, and I just have a little recommendation for when you cough or sneeze! Hold a pillow over your abdomen when you cough or sneeze to help with the pain. Thinking about you! Praying for a continued recovery and staying healthy. Love you sister!
Hii skya! I also shared my mom's had her gallbladder removed on tiktok, and yes it is common, and she has adjusted to her new lifestyle after that :) her episode happened at work and she passed out from the pain and woke up with a bunch of hot firefighters around her, a core memory for her🤭 praying for a speedy recovery for u🙏🏼💖
Omg girl we are in the same boat!!! I just had to have my gallbladder removed on the 5th! I was having excruciating pain so I went to the ER and got a sonogram and turned out I had a gallbladder full of stones 😭 wishing you the best on your recovery!!!
Hi there! I am a fairly new follower and just the other day I was like "omg I hope Skya is okay, she didn't upload for the new year"! I hate you had to go though that, but so glad you're doing better. Take care dear ~
Something similar happened to me a year ago and def want to share my experience for anyone who may experience it in the future. I woke up one morning have some stomach cramps that I thought could be period cramps or just the start of a stomach bug. But the weird thing was that it came in waves, like it would be nothing then the pain would come back then spike for a little and go back down and away like a bell curve. And I just decided to lay down in bed with a heating pad and rest but decided to sit in a hot bath and have that help me. The pain waves became less frequent but were intense. I ultimately called my partner to come over bc I felt like it could be something serious like appendicitis. But when I got out of the bath I was in the most excruciating pain I’ve ever been in. Just moving or opening my eyes made me throw up it was horrible. We went to the emergency room and like skya had to wait for so so long to get seen even tho I was literally passing out and going in and out of consciousness that’s how bad the pain was and how sick I was. I finally go back and unlike skya I am not sensitive to pain meds and need more than one dose but they made me wait and stuff and ultimately the 2 or 3 doses of Dilaudid helped. I went to get testing done and finally got a room and the doctor comes in and tells me that I have colitis and sepsis. I had to stay for two days to get treatment. I have a few chronic illnesses and have infusions and surgeries often, but I’ve never had anything happen related to my G.I. system so it completely took me by surprise. And I had never had any other symptoms until that day. I know people have really bad period cramps, or other G.I. issues but if that is not normal to you, it could be something really wrong and you should definitely try to go to the emergency room sooner rather than later if you have the means because once the pain gets that excruciating, it’s unbearable. So happy you’re safe Skya and I wish you continued good recovery ❤️❤️❤️♥️♥️♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸
Make sure you keep an eye on what you eat and drink now that you don’t have a gallbladder! People think they can eat whatever but it is a little harder to process some things!
Not us both getting our gall bladder removed 😍 worst pain ever will never forget the pain 😀 also the fact that they said the pain is equivalent to giving birth was wild to me. They asked me if I wanted to keep my stones I told them no and they gave them to me anyway 😅
Thank you for sharing your story here and glad to hear it was resolved! I suffer from chronic GI issues so this is helpful for my next check up✨ #yourhealthisyoirqelath

It's literally so scary when you don't know that's why moving forward I'm going straight to the doctors and not taking and chances or assuming.
