Some people say this guy isn't that fast because he's not doing sub-12mins, well the thing is he's probably not pushing himself to go as fast as possible or his average speed is just slower than others. Ask yourself, if an 11-min stringer did his job on average in 11 mins, if he pushed himself how much faster could he get? He's probably already pushing the limits. This guy isn't stressing himself to go that fast, because why would he? Who cares if someone is filming, they're probably filmed all the time. Also, even if he pre-weaves it, even if there is barely any constant pulling time on the string, it doesn't matter because players restring their rackets so frequently they won't even care since they have 10-14 other rackets in their bags. This video isn't a tutorial on how to string properly, it's a video showcasing the quality of the machine and the stringers you find at tournaments who string for the pros.
But the shorter they work on one racket, the more rackets they can complete in a same amount of time -> profit. Sometime during tournaments, stringers have so many works to do, so speeding up is the only way to go, and the electronic machines allow them to do that because they are usually programmed with pre-stretching and do constant pull, and thus no worry about the time to let string stretch as most drop-weight machines do.
What is the interests to stringing badminton rackets less than 12 or 13 minutes? For what? Stringing badminton rackets is not a competition but a job. The interest is doing the job well at reasonable time. For a pro doing that near 17 minutes more or less, is excellent :) I had read many posts and saw videos that I des agree, because for sure, this persons never stay stringing 10 or more hours per day, during a 4, 5 days continues, in front a machine standing at pro tournament. If some one any day had trying or want trying that, for sure give me a reason! Never you will go stay stringing thinking to beat a record, but keep during this time, 3 rackets per hour well done. The players thank's! Of course, during a journey, you will go stringing rackets more fast than others, but is natural :) By other side, each stringer have is your own method. I agree with ones and des agree with others! From my side, I try following the factory's instructions for each brand. Take in mind. Stringing rackets is not only put and pull strings. Is much more than that and only you goes learning with time and experience! Much more can I told about stringing, but leave it for other occasion. Regards Jose
Doesn't you lose pretty much tension at the start of the mains ? You just pull the first two mains together, so they should both have half the tension you actually want...
+doxdox13 you actually don't, I have a Protech 8. When you pull 2 strings together you only get half the tension on each string because the machine can read what tension is being achieved and when it says 28lbs for 2 strings pulled together it is only 14 on each string. You are supposed to pull both strings together and this is just to put your clamps on in line with the height of the string. I normally put 1 clamp on the base of the racquet closest to the throat and the other clamp close to the top on the second string. Once clamped I re pul l the string where I have the clamp on the lower part, while pulling I remove this clamp and re clamp it. This would mean that the tension is 28 from the top to the bottom.
You would get half the tension if you put both ends of the string in the tension head, yes. However; if you put only one end of the string in the tension head, you get the correct tension in the string on the tension head, and near correct tension in for the string in the clamp. If you use a constant pull, you put the string end coming out of the clamp in the tension head, and pull, then release the clamp, the head will pull the slack out. This works - do a tone test on your strings. Pull the first 4 mains, then pluck the first two mains and they will sound the same. ;)
+doxdox13 but here he pulls the 2 mails together and clamps them both at the base. This means that he is not going to pull them individually anymore and even if you see in the video he does not pull them individually. The next pull he does is on the second mains on the right. Since he has clamped the first main on the Botton, the second main will have the full tension but once he opens the clamp on the base their now means that the tension is being spread to the first main(currently only at half the tension) and the second main which is at full tension. Although the machine is constant pull you do not achieve the right tension when you pull two mains together.
Joshua voo. I have also done rackets to many world champions, European champions etc. From China, Indonaisia, Denmark, Sweden etc have players left rackets to me for stringing. I dont mind who left the racket, its only work.I have only done stringins for 30years and I think I can string rackets. So if you think I have srung for few years only so here is some reference.
Hi Jerry, with all due respect, if u are a pro stringer, u should know that not everyone can reach to its max performance at anytime. Just like when u first reach the venue when u string,it'll be much slower when u are already warmed up. This guy is a pro stringer, who just arrived in the store where he work, after riding an hour of motorcycle..and not in a warmed up,in the middle of competition shape.I think u know what i mean..
。。"Japanese style", are u kiding me?
This guy doesnt look like an master stringer to me. Avarage maybe. 14min plus is too slow. Master guys do the stringin time in 11min from the zero point. Sorry only my opinion.

I always tell mr stringer "take your time, I'm not in a hurry". 15 mins is fine, 20 mins is fine, just do it perfectly ok.

José Manuel Almeida because there r some players that want the racket in a specific time
Head badminton ko gutting Hoya hai kya
The way he strings the racket is wrong. He pulled the two starting string at the same time meaning each string only gets half tensioned.
hes a master...ur a??
+Hubaiyb Lutfi a normal racket stringer
But since those "two strings" are actually part of the same string, the tension is still the desired tension
You are right. The first two have not been done correctly. They should have been retensioned individually
how do you become an master in badminton stringing?? Is it how many years you have string, is it how fast you are or who you string to??
Hi, what meaning is japanese style stringing?
Doesn't you lose pretty much tension at the start of the mains ?
You just pull the first two mains together, so they should both have half the tension
you actually want...
Vanilla Thunder You will get the tension back on the pull of the off-center mains if you have a constant-pull machine.
