Yes, the verb in English is the same, "to be" but in Spanish it has two meanings, "estar" (to be in a place / to be doing something) and "ser" (to be someone or to talk about jobs: _I am a fireman_ for example). Can you explain me when to use "as" and "like", please? Thanks for wasting your time on me and sorry for disturbing!

She's native to Long Island and New York City, so I'm sure she has a thick skin and has heard WAY worse things said about her.
