When I saw the thumbnail of this video I thought woah there's going to be a serious massing work in here , then I saw it's only 8 minutes and i'm like hmmm at the end of this video ... thank you for making this soooooooo easy I tried it it ended up perfect !
Good evening, I am not blowing this out of proportion, but your very amazing, I enjoy your tutorials a lot. I couldnt imagine designing a set of stairs using the roof command, i am a very honest person and like to give people credit when its due. Please continue to make good videos, there is no doubt in the world that you are a very good architect, I am a drafter and I am trying to increase my skills...
Thank you so much this has helped so so much with my modern tropical house assignment in grade 12! I plan to use your videos to help me with university as well 😄
+Balkan Architect your videos are usually great... 2 comments: 1- When a design introduces risk or danger, is not a good design... this stair is not safe! 2- Since the times of AutoCAD it is usually better, also due to risk or in order to de-risk design mistakes for example if a snap doesn't work, etc... using 1 CAD/Revit Unit = 1 mm and not centimeters.... Keep doing this great job!!
omg i had to create this exact staircase on revit last year (before this video was uploaded) and it took me days to finish because i was separately creating each step as a component :) :) :) :) thank you though, i will do better for future references hahaha
I think that I would model the stairs as usual, with stairs containing only the steps, without risers and no support, and do the curved elements in between them as an in-place model in a simmilar way you used the roof elements. Maybe the steps won't be single elements this way, but you can annotate them properly.
Just a simple computer microphone, like this one: www.amazon.com/ACOUSTICS-Cyber-Acoustics-Microphone-ACM-51B/dp/B00J9A6JT8/ref=zg_bs_3015406011_82?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=XERQMMKAMT7XQBB8K63Y but i might need to get a better one, to get some decent audio :)
Thanks for a reply.. voice for your video is good bro..that's enough for this.. thanks for link..if u want to suggest better one then this..Give me..Or else I will buy this😀
exelente trabajo hace que me interese revit. me gusta mas rhinoceros pero viendo tus videos es interesante ver lo que podemos hacer en revit muchas gracias
Good tutorials. This particulartly It's a great idea, but I prefer model this like stair + component in place stair again, are two or three step more, but the model result is more order, each element in his corresponding cetegory, what in a BIM model is very important too.
You modelled it well..unfortunately this is not a roof. I hope autodesk can have modelling feature in model-in-place similar to that of the roof so we can categorize this stair as a stair. Thank you for this!!
Great video! I have a question? I used monolithic stair but I can't select first step for creating roof profile, I press tab button , but not select first steep! Thank you!
Hello I was asked if this staircase is safe and it also raised a couple of questions ..I know its contemporary design and all but incase you were to apply a railing to this staircase what would be the best way to do it thank you
Nice work! I found quality content here actually. It's my humble request to make more this type informative tutorial for building design and modelling flatform here. Is there any book for CAD in which can I found deeply knowledge for designing with CAD software or a particular software?
hey is it possible to tell me how to make winding stairs? not the L shape but a straight one if you know what i mean. I have difficulty making it with the sketch
Abigaile Hall No need ro redraw, just select your stair and go to edit type in the left panel and then select monolithic stair, if this option is not available to you, you probably need to check your libraries templates
Oww oww oww, okay, i understand now, lol. Actually on my revit, the basic template it's imperial, that's why my stair surface not straight and command root by extrusion can't work. thank you so much Master
I just discovered your channel. Please don't stop making these Revit tutorials. As a student, I find them very useful and informative. :)
Thank you for your support! I will try to keep a daily upload schedule in 2018! :)
i like how you have mistakes sometimes, but then quickly fixes it. i find it more realistic than any tutorials out there. love your tutorials!
Had to try this. Aound 15 min and my revit stair skills are at a new level thank you sir.
I have never subscribed to any tutorial channel ever......but you are amazing......I want to learn stuffs from you...keep teaching... thankyou
you deserve my gift bro everything about Revit has become easy because of your tutorials
the best teacher in revit. thanks.
I have been searching for this stair tutorial so long. Thank you so much

Great video. I found a faster way of replicating each riser by copying and pasting and then aligning to the monolithic stair. Thanks Balkan
I litterally know nothing about architecture or rivet... it's 4 am and I don't know how I ended up here but I'm fascinated!
I just saw your demos, please my friend keep making these demos and we will surely support you
you make me happy with revit .. and you let me love it so much .. thanks
I wish I had found out your channel earlier, thanks so much!
Good method to create a new style of stair

Great video man! Blessings from Pto Vallarta!
really simple and just amazing

I love your videos Bro. You are a genius
Jesus, your the biz. Great video.
so amazing

Men it's so easy do it with your tutorial, thanks.
YOU ARE GREAT! THANK YOU :)))
This is amazing ! Thank you very much
WOW! Really useful video
Amazing, thanks for genius idea
Very cool work, man
super as usual
I've tried it but for some reason the first step isn't being selected when I try to pick a plane, or any step for that matter.
Super bro.. thanks for the video..hope to get more videos like this
There will be more! :)
One help to me..Just say me how you are giving your audio? If it is microphone , which one you are using?
Just a simple computer microphone, like this one: www.amazon.com/ACOUSTICS-Cyber-Acoustics-Microphone-ACM-51B/dp/B00J9A6JT8/ref=zg_bs_3015406011_82?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=XERQMMKAMT7XQBB8K63Y

Well i don't know much about mic's but that's the one i use if you like the audio in my tutorials than get it :)
Really amaziiing!! thanks to You
really super useful thank you
Vraiment très intelligent je découvre une autre manière de faire bravo 👍👍👍. ..
Really very smart I discovered another way to do bravo

Wow 😮 amazing 😍
Thank you, your videos are really helpful. :)
awesome. thank you alot!!
amazing tutotial :)
Very good!
it's a very good idea to use roof to model it
Hey! Thank you, really helpful! It would be great to watch a video of rendering from Revit to 3ds Max for exaple! Thank you!
Awesome! Ty 😀
nice idea yaar....
cool trick to use roof . thanks.

Good job
Good idea to use the Roof family
Amazing! I've subscribe to you!
Hello I was asked if this staircase is safe and it also raised a couple of questions ..I know its contemporary design and all but incase you were to apply a railing to this staircase what would be the best way to do it thank you
Super Cool
what are you clicking in 5:18?
How do we place a carriage under a landing
. i have noticed that while putting carriage support under stairs, there is no support under a landing
Top 👏👏👏👏😉
That's hot, maybe take it a step further and add a similar concept for the railing.
Good work and I want to join you guys for some help
tnx genuiss
Nice work!
I found quality content here actually.
It's my humble request to make more this type informative tutorial for building design and modelling flatform here.
Is there any book for CAD in which can I found deeply knowledge for designing with CAD software or a particular software?
Hi. Im learning Revit, please excuse me of my question: How did you align the edge of wall to the edges of the stairs? Thanks
Why the first plane is not selecting when I'm clicking plane .. and as further all planes ?
hey is it possible to tell me how to make winding stairs? not the L shape but a straight one if you know what i mean. I have difficulty making it with the sketch
Can you please do a video about how to do construction specifications, thank you.
you changed the category of a Stair to a roof profile, can you explain me how can we quantify stair materials if we use a the roof materials?
Great tut but this must be a staircase from a Steven King novel. haha.
Would it meet safety code anywhere?
Would look fantastic though.
haha, i doubt it can meet safety code anywhere, but it look good, so i guess its not that important to be safe :)
maybe if you add railings with 3 points newel posts, it could meet safety code.
TYP. 3' FT LANDING @ 7" precast secured from both ends of each RUN with a similar concept for the railing
l have small doubt when I did same thing
I observed that stairs is not attaching the supports and stringers
Can you guide how to solve it sir
Nice
can u make a tutorial shows how to make incline railing on this treads which made with roof extrusion ?
great
Balkan hi, i have created the same staircase but am not able to create the railing for it by railing command, please create a tutorial for this.
at 2:57 when you select the step, can not get it to work.....help
Just hover over the step and tap the TAB key until it becomes blue
Sir, I hv to knw hw to create levels after deleting all levels... Its nt showing elevation also... Plz replay me soon...
Hellow, when i created the roof by extrusion, why i can not pick plane on the steps surface.?
Same Issue
It's not same as in picture dear ,in the picture first 3 steeps are landing in level 1
For the ones who can't pick the plane of the step, use monolithic stair template.
anarchy0209 hi, could you explain what you mean by this? Should I redraw the whole stair? Where can I find monolithic stair template
Abigaile Hall No need ro redraw, just select your stair and go to edit type in the left panel and then select monolithic stair, if this option is not available to you, you probably need to check your libraries templates
Thanks :) got it done
@@anarchy0209 In Revit 2019...It's not working..!!
Hello B'A, thanks for the video. Actually on my revit i can't to pick a plan on the steps of the stairs just like yours :( any advice ? please..
Oww oww oww, okay, i understand now, lol. Actually on my revit, the basic template it's imperial, that's why my stair surface not straight and command root by extrusion can't work. thank you so much Master
