When I did TKD back in the late 80s and early 90s there was heaps more punching and we kept our guard up a lot more, particularly to stop kicks to the head. I am not sure what's happened to TKD in the last few decades but it looks very different to when I won my NZ National Tournament in 1987.
they changed the system so bad and weak. the last competition with good old taekwondo was in beijing olympics then after than the introduction of electronics which made the martial art turned into just plain sport which is really saddening.
I don't understand why the introduction of electronics would have anything to do with TKD becoming pretty much kicking only in tournaments and improper guarding stances with the arms, tournaments were also point scoring affairs back in my day and perhaps that was just in my local region but most fighters back then had a good guarding stance with their hands up (probably because protective headgear hadn't been introduced in the 80s). I guess it has become a bit like fencing where you just have to touch your target and it counts even if the strike has no power. You are probably right, these changes to becoming more of a competitive sport than a self-defence art has changed for the worse the power that TKD had before particularly having to need less penetration in the kicking department.
I am a Fan of Taekwondo because of Kim Kaphwan from King of Fighters. Otherwise, Chinese athletes make me think of Chinese Female Xiaolon and Korean athletes make me think of Korean Female Chaelim.
que barrida le dio. Y pensar que en dos ciclos olímpicos Daehoon Lee ha sido derrotado sin poder obtener el oro olímpico, la presea más importante de toda competencia deportiva.
no taekwondo draws it power from many motion based kicks not its punches often hitting very hard with its side back and air kicks taekwondo in the military is much much different tho it includes more punches in its fighting sytle but its mostly based on takedowns chokes and holds
there is a type of taekwondo teached in the us called us chudakown sorry prob not how its spelled but it has a more kick boxing feel i only had the pleasure of sparing them once or twice but they punch quite a lot that may be the style they are talking about
Desde cuando paso el estilo viejo de pelea a estas porquerías de peleas que solo aburren, antes si eran peleas de verdad y ahora lo han vuelto una porquería con su nuevo estilo de pelea
All i see is kicks, kicks and more kicks and a piss poor attempt at blocking if I've ever seen any. No follow throughs? no upper body attacks with fists? or elbows? open hand? palm? nadda
i respect these martial artist but i still believe old school taekwondo is much better
old taekwondo much better.....this just art to put foot in body for point

Don’t worry. Have you seen the National team athletes? They are So fast, if u blink you’ll be knocked out. These guys are r weak.
Francis Maxino ,how does one get to the olympics ??
i agree what the heell is this they only kicked for 90% of fight and was so boring.
I really love Taekwondo for its technique and discipline of the athletes
Lee Daehoon rocked this dude's body

In the old days, none of Daehoon's kicks would get counted as points.
Why are there 5 rounds
Im black Belt TAEK and i want old Taekwondo
Nice fight
i think that each martial art is unique but i preffer the traditional taekwondo than the fencing taekwondo
More than 3 rounds?
Muy técnico es Daehoon Lee y tiene valor.
i like
I really don’t care to be a pro taekwondo man just for the points , I prefer to be a good taekwondo guy just for self defense
"Babyfaced assassin" I LOL'd

HurricaneT TKD timestamp for example? I know of cut kick used for a counter
Re-cal the sensors to account for shock. I think that will fix this boring mess
