Record PT107 jointer planer thicknesser - Unboxing, assembly and testing

Let's put Record's 260 mm wide PT107 planer thicknesser in working condition, do several test planings, not forgetting possible problems to be taken into account.
The planer has been in use for a year, but now the video is finally out of the oven. Hopefully, you will find some tips for choosing your own planer, and of course all comments and questions are more than welcome.
