Hi sweet friends! Thank you for being here. In all honesty: I felt weirdly self conscious editing this video. Even though I intentionally showed up tired and makeup free and it isn’t my first time doing it, I caught myself thinking ‘girl!!?? you could have at least put some makeup on’. That made me so sad. I keep thinking about how the internet needs more realness and how I can contribute to that…
So, here’s your reminder: Even though some days you feel better about it than others, you can take a break from slaying any time you want. That may just be the biggest slay of all ;) I love you 💓

i understand the fear of being perceived and how hard it is to be less self conscious. however let me tell you that you’re not only blessing us with your soothing content but you are also beautiful inside and out, with and without makeup! have a great night fleur and don’t be too hard on yourself, we are only human after all❤️
❤️ fwiw as a woman who has loved asmr my whole adulthood I sometimes find the emphasis on makeup (both in roleplays and in creators just having a lot of pressure to be made up) exhausting to the point of being stressful. there is something cozy and comforting and nice about videos that feel less concerned with appearances and more like hanging out with a friend. you look wonderful but I realize that’s not really the point…asmr is such a warm safe space but I do think as a visual medium focused on close-ups and one person’s face it can also further the pressure on women to look absolutely perfect which isn’t great for any of us. it’s smth I think about a lot as a viewer and I appreciate you sharing thoughts as a creator! and I hope we can all do a little bit to push back against the pressure on women creators a tiny bit. sending love 💕

I enjoy keeping up with ur recovery bc when u mention taking it easy on urself and in general it reminds me that I should probably do that too. I’ve commented b4 about my accident over the summer (in summary I died and had 2 rounds of cpr at a water park) and I kind of just threw myself back into “normal” life rather than processing and taking it easy. Recently I ended up passing out (like I woke up on the floor) after I had drank and pulled an all nighter with a friend and and I realized I could’ve died again and it really hit hard. Since then I’ve been trying to be more conscious of myself and my limits. It’s nice to get a reminder for this every now and then❤
