Zamboanga, my home, and Basilan, my husband's. I am honestly sick and tired of people asking me "okay lang kayo dun?", "safe ba dun?", "hindi ba nakakatakot dun?" NAKAKAINIS na makarinig ng mga ganitong tanong, paulit-ulit na lang. Thank GOD, I found you, Lost Juan, and THANK YOU SO MUCH for promoting ZAMBASULTA. I wish to travel to Sulu and Tawi-Tawi soon since I know some friends who can tag me along. This video speaks so much of our rich and diversed culture in Mindanao. I can't thank you enough for featuring and promoting my home, my birthplace. I've also been to Merloquet, Sta. Cruz Island, 11 island (Sirommon and Bisaya-Bisaya Island), White Beach Malamawi (only then I wasn't vlogging yet :) Plus, as a Yakan, I grew up knowing lokot-lokot and panyam as our desserts. HAHA! My mother, grandmother and relatives used to prepare these everytime we have special occasions (Duwaa). Added to these native delicacies are bawlo (my mom does the best bawlo) pasung, daral (my favorite) and other bangbang (biscuit-like). I wish to create similar contents like this one in my future vlogs. As Maistrang Laagan, I strongly feel that this is what I really would like to do: to share to everyone our stories - the rich cultural diversity of Mindanaoans and how beautiful we are here (both the people and the place).
