Idk what kind of wood is always in these videos but it almost splits itself. Why not give them some good knotty oak and see how great their little machines work then?

You young guys with the green machine. You need to slow down! Sawing and splitting wood isn't a contest and haste can cause damaging or killing accidents. I have heated with wood for fourty years and had my share of injuries. Usually trying to get too much done or getting distracted for just a second. Its no joke.
Ok not knocking any one but perfect little logs with no branches and hard or soft wood, here in Pennsylvania don't work that way hoses wood is usually crooked twisted full of branches and the good ones goes to the mills
Should give these guys some Canadian rock maple with a little twist in the wood . Soon change things. Jamer good an tight!

I like the one at 7:40 some of these look scary but just like any machine, you need to stay awake when you operate them, I have a screw type wood splitter that fits on the back axle of my truck in place of the wheel and I love it

Some of those splitters were fast, but only one, the last one, was home made. I'm not convinced the one before it was home made. It had some modifications that were done locally, but I think it was made in a factory originally, so the headline is flat out wrong.

Pack the firebox 3/4 of the way full with small pieces and let it burn from the top. Lasts 6-8 hours for me.
Build the fire let it burn to get good bed of hot coals then just before going to bed pack the heater as full as you can get it . Doesn't last all night but depending on when you get up should still have a bed of hot coals and easy to get fire back to going . Also depends on heater sizer bigger heaters might last all night into the early morning

Otiss, these are not the biggest. They're toys. Unless you have to use a minimum 30ton excavator with grabs to load the splitter, think of a better headline. Ingenious yes biggest- far from it. TRY HARDER.
