This is one of those rare series with the longevity potential to span years, and characters lovable enough to keep me here as long. I can't wait to see what happens next.
Beth can't deny that THIS one was totally a date. Timing the fireworks even? Our wolf has it bad to be 'romancing the fuck' out of the Seer by being 'all smooth and charming' like that. I commented before this might be my favorite series, but this is my favorite episode of it. Multiple characters for lore and for interactions (obligatory love to Blu! Well done on playing such an awkward cutie!), tons of great banter (included 'one sided' banter between Beth and Seer, you REALLY sell them as close friends without us ever hearing Seer's side), and some heartwarming delightful fluff as well as tons of new plot leads to follow. This is a whole package experience, and I really love it. "Are you the Seer Beth 'keeps'?" Beth...What on earth are you into? I feel like we need to know about some of this stuff going in. 'Keeping' the Seer? Wanting ones to strip? She was calling Seer the 'freak'? (Joking aside, interesting phrasing Ro used there, paired with Seer's vision of Beth using 'mate' too, I'm curious what other phrasing and lingo the wolves might use that the human characters wouldn't) Ro and Tristan already make an adorable beta couple...pun absolutely intended. "I'm Claire" "The Alpha?" "Yes, the Alpha" ...Seer that could've been hard to explain if there were TWO Claires at this event. Just saying. Interesting, again, when talking about the visions Seer now is a lot more forthcoming about the details after the fact, and is feeling particularly guilty despite things turning out fine...Yet at the time, seemed like they were talking in code or wearing their feelings to make sure Beth understood without being explicitly told. Seer seems to WANT to act on these visions, but is holding themselves back, can't imagine totally what feelings they're wrestling with, especially with these visions being so personal... Also, I notice here Claire seems to have a lot more patience and understanding of the Ranger compared to their one-on-one. The phone eavesdropping probably was at play, but even still she's pretty harsh about the Ranger 'not doing their job' there, while here she seems more understanding that she can't stop them. I can't help but wonder if their one-on-one episode is a timeskip and she's at the end of her rope or if she's doing her best to scare off the Ranger by being harsher to their face than she actually feels. Either way, strategy seems to be backfiring if that [Enemies to Lovers] tag has anything to say about it. I think Claire being let in on the whole truth might be one of my favorite scenes in the entire series so far though...Beth sounds SO embarrassed, and Seer RADIATES with smugness. That last talk was sweet though, besides all my teasing over it, Beth really is cute the way she's really gotten attached to her Seer. I'm so curious what they'll be like as a team moving forward.
"Keep that up and I'll shave you like a poodle-" I love Ro and their fashion choices and *Trisket!* what a big german shepherd, huh. That is ADORABLE. And I love Claire. Glamour?? Secret mission?? 👀👀👀👀 also the PINING. I LOVE IT. (also, I've been seeing some episode titles, enemies to lovers? HECK YES >:3)
Amazing audio as always! I like how Blu was able to kind of nail that drawl in their voice to characterize Ro and how they were able to portray when Ro found something amusing or being whiny so well! I also found it pretty amazing that Beth and Claire both clearly sounded like completely separate people down to cadence and pitch when they’re both voiced by the same person! I’m aware that it’s kind of the norm for VA’s to be able to do that but I don’t think I’ve seen or heard anything where characters voiced by the same person interact with one another at the same time so it’s especially...jarring? Eye opening? Eye opening.
This was so adorable I love it and meeting the other characters were so cute and funny hope to hear them in more of this audio and the sound effects is wow 😯….love the work !!!!!
I keep coming back to this one, it's so fun - laughed hard when Claire was making Beth squirm, poor thing lol Sure hun, it's the fireworks that look really pretty, we believe you. Blu has a wonderful voice, have they done voice acting before? They sound familiar.
