Nice work. I might have used similar washers to gap the side spacing for future bending and ease of fit but I am guessing that thing will be rock solid. I look forward to more of this build and some digging.

Hello Mike from Eagar, AZ. I've been looking for a compact tractor w/loader and today learned of a 1991 (same year as your) Kubota B7100 for sale. When the owner said it was 16 hp, my first thought was "too small". However, seeing you operate yours w/the backhoe makes me think I underestimated it. Please, how much weight can you safely handle w/the loader? My goal is to install pallet forks instead of the bucket and lift automotive parts (transmission, front/rear axles, (hopefully) engine). The loader I have is the 1630 and is rated at 580 lbs. to full height. The 3-point hitch on the 91 model will lift 1036 lbs. You could also get a set of pallet forks for the 3 point to move pallets around. I have an 800 lbs. counterweight I use on the back, and it lifts it fine. I can lift and move the 800 lb. counterweight with the front loader but would not go full height lift on it. I have put it in the back of my pickup but that was as high as I wanted to lift it on good stable ground. You want some kind of counterweight on the 3-point when using the loader. I also have the rear tires loaded and they weight about 150 lbs. each. That was still not enough to lift safely or use the loader for work. The counterweight on the 3-point was a game changer for lifting and all other uses of the loader. I run the backhoe off a separate pto pump attached to the backhoe. So, the hydraulics for the backhoe are separate from the tractor. The tractor is 4 ft wide, so it is great for getting into tight spots. There is no power steering on this tractor so it can be hard to steer if you lift heavy weight with the loader without a counterweight on the 3-point. With the counterweight on the back, I have no problem steering. They are great dependable tractors that will do more than you would imagine they would do for their size. I am very happy with mine and it does everything I ask it to. Most of these sub compact tractors will lift more than rated so be safe when doing it.
