Ash is underrated, it is his wonderful story that started it all. His lines like, "Lets give them a show" and " You're sexy when you're mad" are the examples of his genius work. My favorite line in the movie was what Cairo said to tita Susan " Do not use God to perpetuate your hate" because it is still happening at this modern times and happening not just in the Philippines but sadly around the world.
I agree -- the entire dinnertime persiflage between Cairo and Tita Susan was extremely well-written, and was deservedly matched by the excellent acting from both Elijah and Angie. There are too many signature Ash Malanum lines strewn all over Gameboys, from "Yes, choke me Daddy!" near the beginning of Season 1, to "Wow, I did not expect that!" and "Can't I just appreciate my property?" in the recently-released Season 2 trailer. Looking forward to more!
It was truly a masterpiece that will receive all the accolades it deserves not just locally but internationally. Love should transcend in all communities and this is something that is beautifully told in Gameboys Series and Movie. I think this is what makes Gameboys endearingly magical. #CaiReel and #EliKoy played their roles so convincingly that it really appeared they're not acting anymore. Idk but sometimes I got the feeling that EliKoy or Elijah & Kokoy has the same vibes of Direk Jun & Direk Perci. If ever there will be adult version of EliKoy, I think it will be look like Direk Jun & Direk Perci, the vibes and the aura are almost similar. Shems. I am from the Netherlands and i already told my sad story in my childhood as gay because I am already 50 years old now. ( I told my personal sad story after episode 13 season 1) Now in my country we are very open minded in our lives and you see a lot gay roles in series but not so beautiful as these phillipino serve Gameboys. So I wish that this series was also on the Dutch television for young generation who find out that they are gay. As I said before in other comment. In my younger years there wasn't any social media. I couldn't talk with anyone about my gay sexuality and my at home was far from loveless and bullied on school. So my life never became noemal forever. So I love these series so much. I got deep respect for the players and the other crew of these series. Go through please. ♥️♥️♥️

I don't think I'll be able to watch the movie (unless it's on Netflix or TH-cam) but I loved season 1 and can't wait for season 2 and more ✨ Magical moments ✨ I loved this video it was so funny I was laughing the whole time! Alam ko na yung detail sa ending Direk Ivan. Nailagay ni Gavreel lahat ng gamit niya including their couple pillow sa Toyota na black…eh yung kotse nya talaga is yung Nissan (yung dala din nila ni Cairo sa beachfront) Ayun, lahat ng bagahe naikarga sa Black Toyota, tas pagdating sa Airport tsaka lang nalaman ni Gavreel, so ayun na nga, naiwan sya ng plane. Kaya bumalik nalang sya sa bahay. Then pagbalik niya, andun pa din si Cairo, kasi akala ni Cairo 9am ang flight schedule niya, yun pala 9pm pa.. 😅

This is a gamble that they chose to do. And if they did it because they need to earn capital more than they ever could by releasing Season 2 on TH-cam (and if it is through this earning that they are able to continue the story) then that for me already outweighs seeing the second season with “fresh eyes”.
There's a lot of an answered question on the movie that will be answered by season 2 that alone will be intriguing and keep viewership, regarding the ending this is what I like on how GB approach the story they don't preach and they actions of the characters are close to what realistically their character would do! Ofcourse Caireel would be separate ways even if it hurts, coz realistically their situation calls for them to do so.. the end of the movie there's a lot they didn't show we will find out why, like why didn't they kiss? It's a goodbye scene yet they didn't kiss?
