Well done sir you have taken something from my dreams and brought it into existence however after thinking more about it the only flaw i see is being limited to up and down cuts i have also seen these engines converted to 2 stroke and it seems like you could also connect the blade directly to the engine crankshaft with a go kart clutch thus eliminating the transmission and all weight of the gearing i always wanted to do a 5 hp briggs chainsaw👍

Due to the lubrication system, this engine allows operation only at + -30 degrees inclination - there are aviation engines that work in any position. Also the carburetor that equips OE this engine does not allow operation for cutting - an aviation carburetor is needed, with membranes. The fuel tank is only gravitational, I didn't see the oil tank. What oil pump do you adopt? This engine is designed for airflow cooling. A chainsaw has airflow due to the flywheel. I heard engines boiling oil while the motorcycle was at the traffic light ... With a hand tool, the weight is capital / don't you want to get tired and get injured, especially since the chain cuts - do you have a place forever?
Эта пила будет пилить только по вертикали из за поплавкового карбюратора.. Что бы пилить горизонтально надо установить без поплавковый карбюратор от современных бензопил.. А так интересное применение для мотора мопеда..

Pero no me parece practica, no tiene seguro de cadena, pesa mucho para trabajar con eso, el carburador va a derramar cuando la inclines ( nunca vistes una moto de costado en el piso como tira nafta ??? ) Los carburadores de motosierra trabajan en cualquier posicion hasta boca abajo, son a presion constante NO a volumen constante como el de moto... El aceite no lubrica cuando la inclines o este de costado muchacho, se derrama por el venteo y el chupador de la bomba de aceite de costado no pesca aceite, y ademas como pensas q no se va a fundir el piston, si no circula el aire a la velocidad de una moto entre las aletas del cabezal de cilindro ? Q pena tanto trabajo al cuete. 😓
@@hectorcilona965 tienes toda la razón. Además la cadena girará en sentido contrario sino le hizo alguna modificación interna. Y para ponerla a andar o pararla hay que accionar la leva de cambios y embrague lo cual es muy peligroso. No como en una motosierra comercial que se para al bajar de revoluciones por ser de embrague de fuerza centripeta. Por otro lado se podría dejarla siempre en 1era y a hacer un mecanismo que a medida que acelera suelta la leva de clutch pero el desgaste de los discos de embrague en esas condiciones de trabajo sería muy excesivo y solo durarían unas horas. Inviable por donde lo mires.

You can do away with the whole transmission and run the chain drive directly off the crank
