I like that in corner gas in each episode, you see all the characters, nobody is missed out and there is a seperate story going on with each character, love it
Because you asked, Brent, I will tell you that I very much enjoy your "AMA" videos. I love to watch you handle the humor hidden in each question while you explore it. You said in another video that you had difficulty doing improv, but watching your mind working to create humor is beautiful to watch. The subtlety you emlpoy while picking a direction for each answer is inspirational. Your attention to tone has taught me a lot about how to make a situation funny without pushing too far towards the absurd. I'm glad I found the ButtPod and I am catching up quickly. Love all the permutations of Corner Gas. Plus your dog is super cute.
You've met John Candy? I'm really jealous. Also, thank you for Corner Gas. It's helping me through isolation right now. I really enjoy your Q and A videos.
Thanks! And yes I did meet him. And Bill Murray. Been very fortunate to meet so many people I look up to comedically. Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara... very lucky.
@@TheButtpod My wife and I met John Candy when we scored some tickets to a premier of "Only The Lonely" (not sure if that ever made it to theaters), and he was there as we were coming out. Seemed like a really nice guy, and huuge!
Thanks for making a crummy and boring day inside infinitely better by posting a new and really great video. Stay safe and hope to see you back in Saskatchewan when things calm down. Also, frying onions and baking bread are my two favorite smells too.
As one of the multitude of virus terrified geezers here in Chicago it's nice to see a familiar face hanging in there and bringing a smile. I love Corner Gas in all its iterations! Brilliantly funny stuff. But, I would love to see you and/or Nancy make a guest appearance on Letterkenny! That would be epic!!!!! My two favorite shows together! If either or both of you could make the time, it would be mind blowing for all of us fans!
@@TheButtpod You're very welcome! Thank you for writing a show that is helping keep us sane during isolation! Looking forward to the next season of Corner Gas Animated.
I'm a huge fan and have watched Corner Gas on Amazon Prime (I'm in San Francisco) many many times. (I wonder if there's a way to learn *how* many times?) I think it's one of the most perfect shows ever. Also a big fan of Capital Cash. I'd love to hear more of your music, more of these Q&As, more Nancy (I follow both of you on IG). If you tour the states, I hope you visit SF!
I discovered Corner Gas several years ago. The first few minutes of the first episode, and I was hooked. I love the interaction between all of the characters, but my favorite is Hank. I have too many friends like him. I identify myself more with Brent. A great everyman! I'm re-watching the show again. I'm up to season four. My wife and I are going to Dog River (Rouleau) this summer. Keep up the great work, wash your hands, and stay safe. Come to Arkansas, and I'll take you for some great BBQ.
IMHO, CG is like Green Acres' Canadian cousin. Did you ever watch Green Acres? Come on down to Atlanta. We'd love to have y'all and show you some southern hospitality. :)
If you do a tour in the States, you have to come to Birmingham, Alabama, to the Comedy Club Stardome. Lots of comics (of note: Steve Harvey) rave about the club and the owners really know how to treat their performers.
Great to see you back on the TH-cams! Since we are all socially isolating, why don't you and Nancy do an episode where you "interview" each other? I bet that would be great and everyone would love it.
In 2004, my family and I did a cross-Canada road trip, and made a side-trip pilgrimage to Rouleau, where I recorded our younger son rolling a Rolo (the caramel-chocolate candy) in Rouleau. What was funny was the resemblance between Rouleau and Dog River itself. We visited on a Sunday, and there was only a security guard in front of the gas station. As we came up to peer through the station window, the security guard ambled over and said in a cautiously low voice: "You should move your car". "Why?", I asked. "You see that old lady in the lawn chair over there?", he said, "She's here every day. She's parked right behind you and she's *not* a very good driver. If you want to be safe, move your car." I walked back to the car - a rental van - and gave the old lady's car the once over. I walked back and said to the guard "I think I'll be okay. Her car is spotless, so I'm probably not in any great danger." He replied with the same stern caution in his voice, "Her son has an auto-body shop and keeps fixing her car up. Move your vehicle." I complied. But on to more serious and consequential matters... In a battle of the bands, who do you think would win?: Thunderface, The Recess Monkeys (SCTV), or Rod Torkelson's Armada, featuring Herman Menderchuk (Kids in the Hall)

Would you ever consider sometime in the near future preforming some of your earlier stand up materiel on TH-cam for your legions of fans? Y'know...Since a grand majority of us are currently under quarantine due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Not a full hour long set or anything. Just a quick 5 or 10 minutes to help us get through these rough times. We could all use a good laugh these days. I realize how busy you must be with your schedule, but it would mean a great deal to so many. I'm sorry that I missed this live, but one thing that has been bugging me since I watched the movie... does the animated series fall between the live-action series and the movie? I can't wait to see more. Love Corner Gas and sorry it took me so long to find it. I have watched each episode at least twice since finding the series two months ago. LOL and will watch it probably again now that we're on lockdown. Nothing better to do. Also so happy about Season 3... and will there be episodes after Lacey and Brent get together and their lives?
