Admittedly im a BSU homer but we have arguably the weakest in conference schedule this year so it really all depends on whether Koetter gets whoever our QB is up to speed in time for week 1, but looking at our conference schedule I dont see a loss. Looking at our OOC i see a probable loss to Oregon but wins against Ga. Southern, PSU, WSU, and OSU. Now i do think that if we were to somehow win that game at Autzen we probably will lose to Hawaii or something embarrassing like that because we just cant have nice things 😂 i do think that a 1 loss BSU gets in over Liberty after they were dismantled last year by Oregon. I see the top opposition for that playoff spot as being Memphis and Tulane. The Mac and C-USA are both pretty weak comparatively speaking, the only way that either the MW or AAC get jumped by any of the others is if both conference champs have 3 or more losses and one of the others is undefeated. Go Broncos
Wonders where OSU and WSU fits in the CFP. If either has a stellar season. Are they Power 5 as a ranked team or are they trying to get in as a Group of Five schools. No one has it on their forecast. Makes me wonder.
Boise State will be 9-3 or 8-4. Now Fresno State or Wyoming and on an outside of outside chances UNLV may be good enough to be in the G5 12-team playoff spot but not likely. WazzU and OzzU will both be 8-4 or 9-3 themselves as G5/6 independents. The G5 conference that is the best regular season wise is SBC but post season is still AAC. So with that said here are the G5 teams that could or should be legitimate contenders for a playoff spot from G5/6. The list is long and growing but are the teams that this season will all have a legitimate opportunity if any one of them have a great season. It seems condescending to me that a G5 school will be chosen... It's nothing more than a token and a pat on the head. A G5 school will NEVER win a Natty and probably not a playoff game. Just look at last years game against 12-0 Liberty vs Oregon. Are OSU/WSU still considered P5 schools although the Pac 12 is not a P5 conf?
First of all Liberty was 13-0 and did play only FBS teams last season. Remember from the AD up to the University Chancellor and President along with the Head Football Coach at Liberty all said the offensive side of the ball is almost ready but defensive side is another 1-2 seasons away from being a complete team that could compete in any conference and playoff contention situation. Liberty University and the entire football team said would be grateful if got a NY6 bid last season but didn’t expect it. They just wanted to get in a good bowl. Second you had several really good G5 teams that are expected to contend for a championship in conference play and be a contender for the G5/6 spot in the 12-team playoffs. They beat P5/4 teams in non conference play and in bowl games against Autonomous Colleges/Teams; that are expected to compete in their respective conferences for a playoff spot. Your statement reeks of ignorance and elitism and cowardice by far. Because there are multiple teams in the Non-Autonomy conferences that are capable of winning not one but two playoff games. Thirdly many idiots claiming that the A4 conference slates are tougher than the Non-A4 conference slates; which is not true nor an accurate comparison by any means possible. The non conference schedules are where you can do the comparison. But that means that the cowards of the BiG10 and most Big12 schools have no relevance or right whatsoever to say SEC plays cupcakes, when in general their first two non conference games are against heavy competition and last two games are the easy ones; as both Big12 and BiG10 conferences play two easy games in non conference schedules or cupcakes and maybe on maybe a hard team or heavy hitter but. But lots of times all three non conference games by both conferences are something to laugh at and disregard. Going to ten conference games is equally chicken and weak and avoiding competition to push false narratives and expectations for that matter. I don’t agree with that fallacy that all conferences should play 9 games or same number of conference games. I rather have all conferences play same number of non conference games. Or better yet, be some uniformity in non conference schedules in all FBS conferences with 1-A4 to 2-A4 teams and 1-NonA4 to 2-NonA4 teams and only the Non Autonomy Conferences and the Conferences and Colleges that play 4-5 non conference games can play a FCS team but cannot play the FCS team after September. That’s the only way you can tell who has a stronger conference and stronger schedule and stronger competition in records.
Who is your team? I'm not trying to start a fight but the reality is, you used the word condescending and then were condescending in your statement. Just saying...
So youre gonna look at LIberty and you think that defines all of what the G5 can ever be? The year LITERALLY PRIOR Tulane beat USC in the same bowl, so wtf logic are you using here? Furthermore G5 teams have historically been in the Top5 -and no Im not talking about 2021 UC.
@@MattBuild4 For me personally (I think you're responding to someone else) I didn't think Liberty was the best G5--and I know they can produce stronger teams

The question is who will be Boise State main competitor for the playoff spot. Is it Tulane, Memphis, Liberty or someone in Sun Belt.
Good question.
Fresno State are winning 10+ games bud. Mikey Keene and Malik Sherrod are the best 1-2 punch in the MWC
That would be funny if Boise State did beat Oregon in Eugene. Than Spencer McLaughlin would have to wear a Boise State jersey lol.
3-0🤷♂️

1 loss maximum if they're gonna do that
Like Notre Dame, they would have to take the place of a p4 at large. At least one g5 is guaranteed.
They have the same scenario as ND
Just a reminder, Boise St is 3-0 all time vs Oregon. And the last time they started a freshman in Eugene, they started a dynasty.
True, but that has ZERO bearing on this game. If anything, pride will get in the way and cause them to fall. Let's hope not!
It's not a game Oregon can overlook.

What are the 9 games WSU is winning?
Boise state is on pace for winning out the season and just having one loss. Our last big challenge is UNLV rn
They will lose (3) games this season... Oregon, Wash St., & Oregon St. Go Ducks!
Break down Fresno State!
