When her beautiful son died I really cried for someone I didn't even know. Regina was always a person with grace and humility, I can't even imagine the pain.
I believe her healing process was made easier because of how much unbridled LOVE and understanding she always showed for her son on and likely off camera. And he loved her the same. It wasn't out of the blue, he'd been battling mental health for a long time so I feel like in that it's easier for a parent to come to terms with rather than the dreaded "I could've done more" Regina may been King but she is such a Queen. I’ve been a Jimmy Kimmel fan for the past decades and I can honestly say that it is rare to see an actress/ guest that is beautiful inside and out like Regina King. And before anyone thinks I’m black I’m not, I’m hispanic. Regina is a beautiful individual with a graceful personality.
The genuine moment they shared here was so touching, and you can tell that Jimmy worked extra hard to make Regina laugh as much as possible and keep her spirits up and keep things upbeat for her. He really highlighted the movie Shirley well and kept an impeccable and delicate balance of promoting the movie, and keeping the conversation engaging and funny. I honestly have had a really, really, really, really tough season and a lot of intrusive thoughts went into my head where I was wondering what life would be without me here and hearing her story and what she's been through. I would never want my mother to go through that. She and her son are saving souls and they don't even realize depression anxiety and any type of mental illness needs to be taken seriously and when someone tells you they're not well. Please help them. Please listen to them. Please reach out to them. Please stay with them,
I remember first hearing about what happened and it broke my heart and instantly thought of her. I’m not a parent but I can’t imagine losing a child. It will destroy me just as much as losing a parent. As someone like myself who has been through so much with mental health and close calls, it hurt a bit extra and I felt for her. As soon he asked her how she was doing, I broke down crying myself. I don’t know her, never will but I really do feel for her and her pain.
As a human being, you have empathy - you don't have to have children to have empathy. The only parents who understand what's she going through are parents who have lost a child due to suicide.
The beginning was so heartwarming yet heartbreaking. The love,respect, and grace displayed were incredible. Regina is nothing but graceful and classy. I've always loved her. My prayers are still with her. To lose your only child has to be devastating. ❤❤❤

I would never want my mother to go through that. She and her son are saving souls and they don't even realize depression anxiety and any type of mental illness needs to be taken seriously and when someone tells you they're not well. Please help them. Please listen to them. Please reach out to them. Please stay with them,

I remember first hearing about what happened and it broke my heart and instantly thought of her. I’m not a parent but I can’t imagine losing a child. It will destroy me just as much as losing a parent. As someone like myself who has been through so much with mental health and close calls, it hurt a bit extra and I felt for her. As soon he asked her how she was doing, I broke down crying myself. I don’t know her, never will but I really do feel for her and her pain.
As a human being, you have empathy - you don't have to have children to have empathy. The only parents who understand what's she going through are parents who have lost a child due to suicide.
