There are more shipwrecks along the Carolinas and Virginia coast than in the Bermuda Triangle. The only anomaly is the occasionally odd behavior of compasses. But that can happen in other locations identified around the world.

When you read the transcripts of what he said he was trying to figure out how in the hell they ended up in the Gulf of Mexico he thought he recognized the little Islands he thought he was in the Gulf of Mexico and he thought he had to fly East to get back to Florida.
