Thanks for all the explanation and details, honestly I have been able to find nowhere in TH-cam a video as instructive as this one. Thanks, you should upload more videos
Great video! I'm just now looking into keeping gouldians and your video was very helpful in showing a typical setup. I'd love to see more about the diet you use and your society finch setup as well.
Great video. I can't get my gouldians to eat anything other than high value gouldian food. They eat around the egg food. They avoid any greens, including dried greens/herbs. When you mention sticking with it, I assume you mean, keep offering fresh offerings each day whether they eat it or not. I mix vitamin powder into their seed and egg food as well, but, it never looks like the egg food has been eaten. They will sometimes eat dry egg shells. (Hard boiled eggs were a no-go)
You should bring a canary with your birds for a couple of weeks. Add the bird and remove the gouldian foods at night. then in the morning supply your birds with greens and they will see the canary eating it and they will eat aswell.
Hello, what kind of plans do you have in the cages, I see everyone has plants, but thy never point out what plant is to be used ....and your lighting, why use lights. Is that not to bright. Is window lighting not sufficient....pls advise.
I will make another video as soon as possible, there are a few reasons why your birds may not be mating, new video will be up in a day or two. - I do sell my gouldians to excellent homes only, however I do not ship. Thanks guys-
great video! thanks. I have a pair mating for the 1st time. they have a wooden box and there's a nest & 1 egg there's another pair in the big cage that's in my bedroom where all my Gouldians have resided. They seem to be in there & not stressed out. My only concern is the other male seems to not like the female and used to sing to himself in the mirror which I removed. Is he gay? when the male & female were mating, this guy jumped onto the boy! whaaaat?
i tried breeding these guys. my male sang to his female all day even did the little hop dance they do. He even went as far as building a nest, but she was just having none of it. i tried breeding them in their own cage, and in my huge flight cage with my canaries. the cage is like big enough for a big colony of birds sot hey have the room.
I make my cages 11 by 11 4x4 top 4 cages gouldian and bottom 4 slaves so i can take gouldians eggs and put them down to my cebras and i just trow away the cebra eggs

I make my cages 11 by 11 4x4 top 4 cages gouldian and bottom 4 slaves so i can take gouldians eggs and put them down to my cebras and i just trow away the cebra eggs
I was told that fostering is not a good idea because when the babies mature, they may also not be good parents.
If you want you can learn from woodprix scripts how to make it yourself.
Their name is pronounced Lady GOOL-dian, not GOLD-ian.
