I think she can see through the blindfold because it's just cloth. It works kinda like mirrored sunglasses, you can see out because your eyes are so close to it, but you can't see in

RED EYES ARE A THING there mostly common in albinos the reason you have red eyes is due to the fact you do not have much pigment so you probably wont have black skin or black / brown hair but usually whitish/blondish hair instead and pale skin
