I am young but "Army Old" I try to push myself and grow, although it seems like my body is failing me and I try to take all safety precautions. I guess keep pushing through is the asnwer
Dawgs, I’ve been in Afghanistan when a big guy goes down, 4 men who bench 225 + have a real difficult time carrying a stretcher a half kilometer. Good luck with the female integration.
There are literally hundreds of thousands of males who can’t either, and it’s not a requirement for any of the training. If we want to make carrying a 200+ pound dummy across a particular length of distance as a requirement of passing basic training, because everyone seems to think that’s an important training capability, then let’s do it. They’ll be a lot of men who won’t pass this requirement and will fail the training. It’s either a requirement or it’s not. These women passed the same standards to wear the tan beret as their male counterparts and are required to maintain that standard daily. If a person arguing isn’t currently having to maintain those same standards as these women, and are opining whether or not these women who have are capable, their vote doesn’t count.
@@Mentors4mil Dead carries were certainly part of our training, the fact that a combat scenario is not universally a requirement, hence women should be in combat is a VERY flawed argument and will cost men lives. These women had the standards lowered on all levels to meet their abilities and ones who make the training are outliers. Do I want to trust that the woman let in the unit is able meet the demands during a very bad day, when history tells us, not likely? Like I said, good luck!
@@AlphaproximitaDead Weight carries of 200 pounds or more is 100% NOT apart of ANY Entry Level (or not) US Army training or standard. Even the current ACFT does not _require_ anything above 130 pounds as a 3x deadlift. Youre just making stuff up. Upset at absolutely nothing.
I guess my comment was what this stupid platform likes so I will say again, I’ve seen the videos of the women failing the Darby course and how the cadre was upset that they will have to hold these women’s hand through three months of personal training. The women still failed and the cadre were told to pass them through. There is video proof of all this even if you like it or not. These women didn’t pass Ranger school on their own and while the men had to carry 200lbs the women only had to carry 45lb max. So I call BS on the women being able to pass apples to apples.
So you’ve seen videos. This isn’t Ranger School that was discussed. It’s the Ranger Regiment and there’s only one standard. These men are serving with these women and it’s not second hand information or from some video.

As long as he’s meeting the standard and can carry his weight…
Sure guys.... a couple is no where near the norm.
No one said it was. But people shouldn’t peanut butter it the other way.
