@@theeinsuranceguy Thanks Stu, I tend to agree. I do not want AWE because of the valved- deleted reason but I do have to say the sound is good. The ones you mentioned, they sound great! Two ways to go forgetting the valve situation; loud and "European" exotic sounding or loud traditional sounding ( more bass). After much review and research; JHM seems to be the best option for me. They now have a downpipes and y-pipe combo that is 2.75" at the dp. IF I just purchase that it's half as much as AWE's cat back, and actually is intended to help performance. They have a new video of a roadster with that combo: JHM dp with y pipe mated to stock muffler. IT sounds really good to me. Lots of that bass(trad) sound that I like. I must admit, GT Haus is a great sounding "exotic" sound that is more affordable that the two you mentioned.
Do you have the v8 rs5 or the 2.9 v6 rs5. I have a 2019 camaro ss modded 10 speed 600 hp I want the 2013-2015 rs5 with the 4.2 v8 it revs so high. I want one bad. Maybe I’ll sell my maro for $50k and buy a rs5 for $25k to $30k and save $5k for exhaust and headers and maybe $5k for intake tb tune on e85 maybe carbon steering wheel
@@RideOrDie717 I own a 2015 RS5. I have the high reviving 4.2 L V8; and it is exceptional! I wouldn't trade it in for anything. IT is currently my daily and I have the JHM exhaust to be delivered today. The only caution I would give is keep money for the front brakes. I just needed new rotors, not brakes, but new rotors for my inspection to pass. I was getting inspection at my mechanic and he quoted, just for the rotors and pads, $4600 from Audi. That was just to get the Rotors to him to put on the car. Audi will charge you a LOT of money for front rotors and everything else with this car. You have to stay up on the maintenance and the tires are $600 a piece, at least. The tires, rotors, are hard to find and I run Michelin's now. The P zero's are much more. Don't get me wrong, it's a great car, but can be pricey. So save some of that money for other things than just upgrades. And think twice on the intake.
For everyone reading this comment section : AWE is the most overrated junk i ever came across. The reason its popular is only because of the company doing lots of adverts on audizine, giving people there discounts so they tell everyone how awesome they are. If you want a proper sounding exhaust for the B8 RS5 ... then in the following order : 1. HMS 2. Long time nothing 3. Armytrix 4. H-Pipe instead of mid resonator (everything else absolutely stock). You may not believe it, but this simple mod increases volume compared to stock by like 400% and the hammer amg like sound can be heard. 5. ECS X-pipe if you want that racecar sound (everything else stock) 6. Any other manufacturer if you got too much money. (The reason is all manufacturers put a X-Pipe instead of mid resonator and change the rear silencers, thats pretty much all they do and its completely unecessary because the stock rs5 exhaust with open valves is already straight through, so at capristo you are paying for example 4000$ for a X-Pipe that you can get for 400$ by ecs and a unecessary rear muffler which is also straight through just looks nicer than the stock one. Something to note here the akra titanium exhaust for its ridicioulus price sounds completely different than prertty much all exhaust setups you can think of on the rs5. Its really deep and bassy BUT ... way too quiet. On itself its a horrible system because quieter than everything on this list, but if you get rid of the downpipe it gets a phenomenal sound that you can mistake for a hypercar.

Some of these clips are from the B8 RS5 while some are from B9, which are completely different engines.

pass on AWE as its not valved so it always will be loud plus they have drone which you wont want in that car. Go Capristo or Akrapovic

You are comparing B8 4.2 V8 Exhausts against B9 2.9l V6 Systems here, Not a true comparison. Capristo is a B8 system where Kline is a B9 system.

usually milltek sounds really good in audis, but on the rs5 it just doesn't do it for me🤨
