@@shredder2cop Punjab has very less population compared to other highly populated states. If people migrate into Punjab in huge numbers, we will turn into a minority. It's better if people of UP and Bihar develop their own state, as they are mostly responsible for changing demography of most states. If any rapid demographic change occurs in Punjab, it might revive the insurgency. Although a low-level insurgency. I hope you understand our situation here.

@@shredder2cop The fear comes simply from the fact that the states I mentioned have very high population with very high tfr. Punjab on the other hand has a relatively small population with one of the lowest tfr in India. So, even if less people migrate into Punjab, demography will change rapidly over years as Punjabis are not having enough kids to even replace themselves.
Poor people will try to settle in Punjab when schools and healthcare improves. If you see the data of Delhi, you'll see how the migration of poor people from neighbouring states have also increased. Delhi is fine as it is a capital city and has always stayed multi-cultural. But for Punjab, it will be a disaster as Punjabi identity is very strong and Punjabis are not ready to become minority in their own state.

Wonderful interview. The part of the interview I loved the most was Arvind Sir's decision to build high quality schools for the children begging at street lights. Absolutely wonderful. Let them also have a shot at life. What a sad, miserable life they must lead right now. The idea to rehabilitate and give sports training to those street children who do gymnastics to earn their living and send them for Olympics was also wonderful. Humanity at its best. Arvind Sir, the perfect leader and AAP the perfect party to lead India or should I say serve India.
