Hey I was just here a couple weeks ago. I'm a beginner and it's pretty challenging but it's fun regardless. There's a 9 hole course out in Elgin but it's for beginners. Super easy.
I wouldn't like to run into any snakes at all on the course but I wasn't so lucky. I was playing at Shawshank and went to go putt on hole 20 for the birdie when I heard a little rustling in the grass. Looked down and it was a huge black rat snake probably about 3ft long and fat!! I damn near jumped out of my shoes!! Looks like a fun challenging course..... next video should be Meg and you playing best-shot doubles!!!
The rat snakes have given me quite the scare a number of times before I have the moment to ID them! I'm sure they are abundant in your neck of the woods! Thats a good idea though ill see what she thinks about it!
I knew this course before it was a course. It was a cow farm. The farmhouse sat on the curve on Blake Manor Rd by the soccer fields. In all my years throwing here, I've gratefully never run into a rattlesnake or any snake out there. I do my best to make a lot of noise and step slowly going into any possible snake zones.
Shark. I play a course on a lagoon off the Columbia, and I went in after a disc while it was in flood stage. I doggy paddled out 10 feet and convinced myself there was a bull shark in there with me, so I lost the disc, but saved all my limbs.
I played a twilight round a few years back and while looking for a disc after a terrible shot lol I spooked a large sounder of hogs. Super sketchy when they all ran in different directions. Wouldn’t want to experience that again without some protection
A cougar for sure. When I play solo rounds in the woods where I live (Pacific NW) I constantly chatter out loud and bang discs together before I go off fairway. Don't know if that really does anything but my brain thinks it does.
No chance I'm surviving a run in with a badger. I hear they're the fiercest animals in the UK and probably Wisconsin. Also, I don't have Instagram so I might be missing the point here. I found your channel from the 3 part practice round you did with the other guys earlier this year and was beyond pumped when I found vlogmas from last year of you playing McDade and Northside Christian. Also want to add that I liked the commentary of you hitting the band in this video. Keep doing what you're doing! Most relatable DG rounds I've found and great quality! Thanks dude!
I would be terrified if I ran into a fischer cat in my area. They are known to be very aggressive and are pretty rare but cause quite the rucus in Maine.
Least favorite animal to run into out on a course is Coral Snake. It is a beautiful animal, but because iv seen them at Roy G, The Creek (Bastrop) and hole 18 where your at right now, I cant help but always be on the lookout eveytime I go hunting for my disc in the rough. I guess you could say they motivate me to stay in the fairway, but sometimes the full send is just too tempting! So far we have been able to coexist just fine though, so while it may be the worst, i guess im not really complaining. Thanks for all the content, its been fun watching a pro rip though all the home courses!
They cut back a lot of trees and brush and then left them in piles for the last five months, kinda stupid. I also think whoever is cutting things down doesn't play disc golf because they gutted several holes pretty badly and they don't play nearly as well now. Still a great course but they need to have a disc golfer with them when they do maintenance. The animal that I would not enjoy meeting on an early morning round would be a mountain lion. Rattlesnakes are no fun either.
Yeah a lot of times the parks people are more concerned for the health of the trees than the course design which I totally understand. It would be nice to have a designer or course rep there when the work takes place but not always realistic! I think after the prescribed burn there will be room to think about some tweaks to the layout but I am sure many will enjoy a less punishing East Metro layout!
raptors, wasps, and pigs oh my!
i’d be scared to see a “Connor” when i’m around any Iron Hills 😉
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH we have a winner lol
humbly, am i in the giveaway sweepstakes or do i also need to go to insta?
I’ve played that course a few times. Hard, fun, and a nice hike. I always play the short tees lol. I wouldn’t want to run into a skunk!
Fire. Ants. Thanks for the vlogmas my man. Watch your steps out there!
Got bit by them little shits during day 21 lol!!!
Daddy long legs at circle c hole 6 used to be nightmare fuel. I can't believe I ran into you twice this vlogmas.
Hahaha! Those suckers love it under that rock.

Thanks!
I saw a rattlesnake out at Wilco last year. Now, anytime I'm in the tall grass, I tread very lightly. Thanks for the content, Connor!!
Thanks for all the great content! In Texas I’d have to say a water moccasin
Yeah almost stepped on one out at the Met before and got lucky it was sunbathing and not trying to move lol
Yay! My home course! It's in better shape after NADGT. ...and that's the first thing you said. Lol! 😅
W00T! My channel's sticker on the pole of 17! 😊

Mucho Chupacabras!!!
And maybe a Copperhead.
I played a twilight round a few years back and while looking for a disc after a terrible shot lol I spooked a large sounder of hogs. Super sketchy when they all ran in different directions. Wouldn’t want to experience that again without some protection
Yeah I bet that was scary in the moment!! Definitely don't want to mess with wild hogs!

Ran into a rattler at hole 10 at Sprinkle Valley. Have pics if you want to see them.
In SE Minnesota it is rattlesnakes or bears you have to look out for in the woods.
Another good video
Is Megan editing your videos as well as filming them?

Saw Texas Coral snake on hole #6 Rivery Park Georgetown last year...always be aware... especially when you have to search for your discs like I do 😁
@@mwayne7953 No doubt they are out there! Our course is their home though so whats the saying, tread lightly lol!
Ground hornets nest. Thanks for the content.
Definitely a rattlesnake, I’m terrified
A bear during those early morning rounds
I think a big cat, like a panther, would be the worst case scenario.
Least favorite would probably be a badger or wolverine
Gotta say having run into bear tracks at a course in upstate NY, I would be terrified to run into one
Alligator but fortunately we don't have those in Austin
Mosquitoes always ruin a good time at the course, so definitely them
Literal facts lol
A pack of wolves!!!
Innova Leopard 😅
Bobcat!
Grizzly bear for sure!
Don't wanna face a bobcat 😾
Fire ants have caused me a lot of pain. I hate having encounters with them.
I would have to say - Liger
Fire Ants
I'd be scare to run into Bigfoot
What about a Squatch??
rattlesnake for sure
Wild boar.
Swarm of killer bees
I am terrified of large dogs. If a pit bull is off leash around me, I piss my pants and forget who I am for 20 minutes.
Hahahaha Big Bill gets scared of the wittle dogs, remind them who is boss my friend!
@ yes. Big Bill gets terrified. The boss most definitely is not me.

I would not want to run into bear
Ground hornets for the L
Rattle snakes is bad.
A feral hog.
Hanging spiders over you lie
A California white snake 🐍. Gross.
Never heard of them, Venomous im guessing!?
They are a king snake that are white and black. Non venomous but remind me of the Beetlejuice sand worms. Thanks for all the great disc golf content!
