Love this Trina, some awkward things going on ( scratches resisting), which is good to see, lessons learnt, and l love your dialogue. Making paint charts is a favourite thing for me to do. Purple, and shades of, turns up quite a lot in our landscape. Heather hills are so stunning, even the rock in some areas can have a purplish hue. Right now orange, yellow, is dominating. When it rains the colours are heightened. Thank you......Alioban ❤😊
Hello Alison! Dreary day here in Kansas, feels a lot like a proper Scottish day. I noticed the really dark browns and bright pops of yellow and orange. I think tomorrow’s work will be influenced by that. I have been noticing some dark plums as well. Thanks for commenting. 😍
Good morning Trina…it’s been a few days since I got around to watching one of your videos. Loved this one! It definitely has an Autumn feel…so very lovely! I love the resist marks and that blue-green sky illuminates the rest of the piece. Also that green going through was a very nice touch. Even the black marks at the end added to the overall picture. Very lovely Autumn piece Trina. Have a wonderful week! 😊
I love when people bring their experiences to the work. I’ve only driven through Montana once and it’s beautiful. I love wide open spaces. Thanks for watching! 😍
Just lovely! You and I have the same taste in colors…earth and no pinks/purples. My watercolor instructor said never use a store bought green…mixing you own makes it more interesting and I think you achieved that in this piece. She also said to always put a drop of your main color in the sky to make it cohesive. So there is my art lesson of the day for ya😂. Love it!
She always said mix just a tiny bit of the main color into your “pile” of sky. Everything she taught us was to mix an”pile” I always found that funny and her main gig was speech pathology and I actually worked with her! She was a hot mess!
Hey Trina! Love the colors in this work, and techniques used. It looks very different from a lot of your other works and has a smoky texture... With the lines and resist... just wondering if a spray workable fixative would have worked before you added the lines... or a clear gesso before the lines. To get the grit back on the substraight. I tried signing up to your Patreon, but my paypal was acting up that day. Will try again to join you there! 😍🤩😍
@@MysticDawnArt hmm, a fixative might have worked. I tend not to use that but will think about it next time. I loved mixing the colors in this piece. Thanks for joining us on Patreon. The next video will be all about mark making so it should be fun. Also, a fun challenge for you all as well. Thanks my friend! 🥰

Love the colors here. I live in Montana and your blue sky near the horizon looks like a range of mountains. ❤

Yummy juicy colors
@@patticiuffo4842 thanks so much! 🥰
Be careful not to make brown with the same amount of complement colors.
Good point! I was thinking about that myself. 😁
