BTech CSE vs. BTech AIML:
BTech CSE: This broader degree gives you a strong foundation in computer science principles, which is valuable for many AI specializations.
BTech AIML: This more focused degree dives deeper into AI and machine learning concepts. It might seem more targeted, but it may limit your options outside of AI.
Considering the Student's Goals:
If the student is set on a career in AI engineering and wants to specialize early, BTech AIML could be a good choice.
But, if they're unsure or want a broader background, BTech CSE with a focus on AI electives or projects would provide more flexibility.
Reaching the Target Salary (100k+ USD):
Regardless of the degree, strong skills and experience are key. Here are some tips:
Focus on core CS and AI concepts.
Build a portfolio of personal projects showcasing your AI skills.
Do internships or research opportunities related to AI.
Network with professionals in the AI field.
Web Development vs. Starting with AI:
Web development can be a great way to gain programming experience, but it might not directly translate to AI engineering.
It might be better to take AI and machine learning courses early on to see if the student enjoys them.
Remote Work:
While not guaranteed, AI engineering roles with remote work possibilities are becoming more common.
