Man, you can tell that last guy was hurt. From my perspective it looked like it took everything in him to say he appreciated the gesture that did nothing for him. When he said stay blessed, that felt like more of a warning to remember how good things are and how much worse they can be. There's way too many reasons someone can end up/stay homeless, good or bad, and one of them is having their confidence absolutely stripped from them. Telling someone you cant trust them with something they need to survive can reinforce those feelings of inadequacy. I love your content Ross but this one was weird. Not making you out to be a horrible person because you've helped others before and maybe you did help them off camera like some people suggest, but in terms of the way the video was framed it didn't look good. 1love ✌️
100% agree! I hope Ross sees the comments and reflects on his actions & behavior in this video. Being inconsiderate of the normal Joe trying to grab some food calling him a creep and blasting his face for the vlog was wrong. He didn't seem creepy at all IMO. His friend with headband seems more like the creep with his bad personality and no good traits for the vlog. Also misleading homeless with cash is a bit insensitive. I know he is trying to do "harmless prank" but pranking the homeless with cash. Cmon Ross got to do better. Just because they’re homeless doesn’t mean they’re dumb drug addicts. A lot of them have stories that’ll make you question yourself and make you realize how blessed your are to be in the position you are in. Alcohol dependency is a real thing and homeless are real human beings in need. Both of those topics are very controversial and making "pranks" based around it is really going to throw some people off. Mixed reviews on this one for sure, the joke would have been funnier if you called them over without waving the note at them first. Sometimes a bait and switch ain't the right way to go. Homeless people will nearly always take it well, they're just trying to get by most the time so they wouldn't cause conflict. But this felt like it was really crossing a line into mockery. This one was definitely in poor taste. I haven’t really been much of a fan of Rob’s since he started appearing in the videos, but when he said he was surprised that a homeless guy was sober he showed his true colors.
My family and I have built some friendships with folks in our neighborhood who are experiencing homelessness and there’s a lot more reasons people can end up in that situation than alcoholism and addiction.
Rob is a domestic abuser. Not surprising.

If this had happened to me when I was homeless, having all you guys watching me and then the video camera, being the butt of the joke, I would it have broke down. At that time being homeless was the least that had happened to me. I don't drink either, I have a lot of medical issues and im on the Autism Spectrum.
It wouldn't have even been about not giving me the money, it would have been the humiliation, re-enforcing and adding to the betrayal I felt from God and life itself.

I love all your videos however this didn’t hit like the others. I know even off camera you’re one of the most generous people out there, but I think there are some factors to consider here.
One is that no matter what, in their position you’d take the beer even it you didn’t drink. The item in itself may sell to a passer by allowing them some money.
Another thing to realise, I know its a prank, but the homeless also budget differently meaning even if they drank they may choose a different brand to suit their taste. They would also leave some money spare for potential food out of $20.
I’m the kind of person who does not care what homeless do with the money I give, even drugs don’t bother me as theres often a reason they’re addicted to begin with, I haven’t got a lot myself but in a much better position than most especially those on the streets. This view also makes me biased to this video, but I watched hoping you would let them also keep the money (and kinda still hope you did this off camera after preaching generosity shouldn’t be filmed).

Dude I live near ATL and this vid might not be the most wholesome, but Ive offered the homeless cold bottled waters and food only one guy took me up on the food. One lady said she needed money for diapers, she was holding a baby out in the sun. I said I would go buy the diapers for her and she was having none of it. They all only wanted cash. They make a ridiculous amount per week. Soup kitchens and stuff are a good thing, but these people are scammers who prey on people's good intentions. Do not give them cash. Not all, but most.

Though, considering many of us are are a few unlucky days/weeks from being on the streets ourselves, it's important to remember how hard being homeless is, and with it soon being the holidays and weather getting colder let's not forget how much harder it can be on those folks without proper winter clothing, or family to spend the time with.
