  • Apple’s iPhone 12 Pro is beautiful to look at and hold, but isn’t much different from the less expensive iPhone 12. On top of that, the bigger iPhone 12 Pro Max stands to offer a better camera, which puts the 12 Pro in a tough spot. Nilay Patel has the full review of the iPhone 12 Pro.

Your message at the end about people being careful / not really needing to update their phones during a pandemic felt genuine and heartfelt. You didn't have to do it, but by doing so I have so much more respect for the verge staff and team. We all don't need to get the latest and greatest, especially now. I like how you highlight that fact.

Really we’re way beyond that at this point at the rate of technology advancing and how good phones are. Apple isn’t expecting somebody with an iPhone 11 to get an iPhone 12. They’re expecting to get somebody with a 6s or 7 Plus or many of these Pre iPhone X phones to see these and want to upgrade. Those are massive leaps and changes for a lot of people. Because in the end it’s all about consumers upgrading. Not the very very small group that get the new phone year to year.
