Can't be, I just played that part earlier and there was only silence after you saw Salazar. Until you get the key and open the cage and release the Garrador, then HIS tune plays. This one doesn't play at that point.
@@DutchGuyMike You didn't get me, I mean when you fight the Garrador INSIDE the cage. There is a dinner table and you must shoot a wine bottle in the drawing to open the door, then when you enter the area a cage falls on you and some zealots release the Garrador upon you.

The day has finally come when I realize my appreciation of this game has transformed to something greater. I used to be able to motivate why I was so fond of it, but I have now come to another conclusion. I have become a fanboy. I used to shiver at the thought of it being a possibility, but as reality finally caught up with my delusions, I am surprisingly indifferent about that fact. This game has slowly seized to be a rational part of my life, and has entered a realm of divine immortality, where no criticism can ever hope to reach. My God, this game is good. If only I could find something as complete as this, I could die in peace. As for now, my journey will continue towards its nonexistent end, and I will remember this game as the absolute peak of my life as a gamer.
The fact that someone would write this is incredible. I came back recently to play again because of ActMans video. It's like a fine wine, gets better with age. Truly one of the best pieces of entertainment ever produced. Thanks for sharing.

Ioannis Stf Sadly no. I remember my friend showed me this game in summer of 2006 and it was the ultimate horror/story experience. Now after many playthroughs and outdated visuals its not what it once was. But man.. playing this game for the first time back in the day was insane.
Ioannis Stf yeah its alright. But for me personally it was one of the few games where I really liked the story. So playing it back then was a lot more interesting.
Most people didn't notice but this soundtrack was also used in an episode from the TV series "Smallville". They changed few elements from this version to make it a little bit different but as a fan of this music myself I instantly noticed and was completely blown by it Season 4 episode 19 .... That's the one when Chloe sneaks into a building

It's also used in The X-Files Season 8 Episode 8. The exact track. And X-Files predates RE4, so no doubt this entire song (minus a few sound effects thrown in here and there to make it "original") was just part of a stock sound library. Which is crazy that they'd use something like that for this game. Makes you wonder what other great "original score" tracks are actually just blatant ripoffs.

Best game of all time. Man, I've lost count of how many times I've replayed this game. Great story and characters, beautiful and creepy soundtrack, good controls and the pace in this game is superb. The atmosphere in this game is phenomenal. Highly enjoyable and there is so much replay value, new game+ runs, extra modes like Seperate Ways and the highly addicting Mercenaries. Resident Evil 4 really is the best game of all time.
I've never played a game as replayable as RE4. I usually don't replay single player games unless I really enjoy them and even then i dont tend to finish them. RE4 is another story, I will never get tired of playing it.

Anyone else realize this track is very similar to the infiltration track from the first Red Faction game on the PS2? Only difference with the Red Faction version is the end has a techno beat to it. The infiltration track was also used in an episode of Venture Bros. Look up RedFaction OST- Moogathon.
This game made history. For good & bad. Good: it is a horror action game, with scary moments and so much suspense. Bad: It is not a survival horror like the 1, 2, 3, Code: Veronica & Zero.

im so happy to know that there are oher people like me who say that this game has to be the best game ever created. i played this game when it first came out on gamecube, then later bought it on all my Playstation consoles. i recently beat it on professional mode, and i gotta admit it wasn't easy but i freaking loved every moment of it. and i still llay the game on my ps4. and im only 16 years old..

Thing song reminds me of this game's greatness. Going from Ashley's gameplay where the camera placement is set in classic RE1 style, then returning to Leon's revolutionary over shoulder third person view. His pistol running, the Zealot's voices, the sounds of his guns. Perfection.
I just noticed that the same pinging sound that starts at 0:14 in this video is the same pinging sound and melody that's pinging the TV series 24 in season 1 episode 3 at 39:30. Geez, I've always been pondering about that sound since it felt so out of place...

Any musicians here? 0_o I like how there's a plethora of layers going on in many of these tracks. There's an uncanny depth to it. VERY Skilled in the mixing process. It's too easy to want to "expose" every sound, & loose the colours which create other sounds you think are there! It's very clever. I urge anyone who wants to take music extremely seriously to listen to this guy's work, & avoid the dull austere trite that currently saturates the commercial market!! :p Keep pushing. You'll make it!

I’ve beaten this game well over 150 times. Mainly when I was a teen who had no life.
Heard the piano keys play during the beginning of the island part of the remake and I was like 😮😮😮

One of my favorite soundtracks from the game, I think it first plays when you arrive to the Island.
It also plays in the castle, when you enter the minigun room.

@@Helos743 Yeah, I think it just flows over people's heads because there is so much going on at that moment with trying to keep up with the Zealot that has the key and all the reinforcements along the way :D
@@DutchGuyMike Haha, wouldn't surprise me, the castle despite being the second stage was still pretty intense, remember that one cultist that appeared in the art gallery with a giant gatling gun? X_x almost puts the islanders to shame. XD
@@Helos743 Yeah the guy with the gatling gun is the one with the key, if you don't succeed in stopping it before it gets into that room he comes out with a minigun, great memories for sure :P

im so happy to know that there are oher people like me who say that this game has to be the best game ever created. i played this game when it first came out on gamecube, then later bought it on all my Playstation consoles. i recently beat it on professional mode, and i gotta admit it wasn't easy but i freaking loved every moment of it. and i still llay the game on my ps4. and im only 16 years old..
A lot of people consider it one of the GOATS ( one of the greatest of all time) RE4 is always mentioned when people talk about the best games of all time. trust me man you are not a minority..

and i saw that you can use the red laser for aim like in the original game !! and that's so cool ! for me the laser is a must : it's THE RE4's thing at the time ! ❤
@@alexdeghost2729 i did one playthrough with original soundtracks and i don't remember which part had it, it must've been so small and brief. they also add remake background sounds mixed with the old, but yea i'll have to play with them again to catch where this song played lol very small section must've been.

Thing song reminds me of this game's greatness. Going from Ashley's gameplay where the camera placement is set in classic RE1 style, then returning to Leon's revolutionary over shoulder third person view. His pistol running, the Zealot's voices, the sounds of his guns. Perfection.

I just noticed that the same pinging sound that starts at 0:14 in this video is the same pinging sound and melody that's pinging the TV series 24 in season 1 episode 3 at 39:30. Geez, I've always been pondering about that sound since it felt so out of place...

I like how there's a plethora of layers going on in many of these tracks. There's an uncanny depth to it. VERY Skilled in the mixing process. It's too easy to want to "expose" every sound, & loose the colours which create other sounds you think are there! It's very clever. I urge anyone who wants to take music extremely seriously to listen to this guy's work, & avoid the dull austere trite that currently saturates the commercial market!! :p

Me when playing this at 3am it had to be one of the scary moments of all. That castle part scared me the most
RE 4 was one of the few RE games that didn't have crappy music - barring the "Ashford Lullaby", which is epic, classic stuff.
RE5 soundtrack was great too imo
This song fucking gives me chills... I remember playing this game on the wii when I was like 13 (8 yrs ago) and I used to be so terrified in certain sections, ild leave the game for a week or two before I came back to it, a friend of mine finished the game for me instead :p
