- What a pleasant surprise! There's not much I can say about this game that hasn't been said already. It's a solid homage to the old paper mario games, with nice quality of life improvements as well. Note that this may not include absolutely every boss encounter, as some are considered regular enemies later on or there is a rematch which is the same thing but harder. This includes all of the major bosses with the hard mode badge though. Enjoy!

I’m a Paper Mario fan and I think every Paper Mario game is great in it’s own way (even Sticker Star kinda) so I personally wasn’t waiting for this. It’s and amazing game, nonetheless!
Idk origami king was definitely a big step in the right direction
It's a great game, but it definitely lacks the polish and unique feeling to it that paper mario has. Not hating on the devs at all, just wasn't quite what I was expecting.

Lmao I remember being stuck at the factory boss. I'm trying to beat the whole game in hardmode, and to defeat that boss, Iended up grinding for an extra piece of hp. And guess what hapened!?
The turn before I used my final attack, the buzz bub uses his rocked assault attack, killing one of my party members, and the last one left? Vi! With one hp, I used the beemerang to put an end to those nuts and bolts!
Truly the most satisfying boss defeat yet.
Yeah I’m honestly wondering if I can pull this one off. I’ve only attempted once but I got my but kicked in.
@@trceb at this point I was at the final boss. But he was too strong in hardmode so I went off to do some side quests.
Next day I return.
Save file, GONE.
DISSAPEARED
50+ hours wasted.
But instead of whining I sorta felt good. Now I can replay the game all over again! And this time I'll see the ending. And if my save file goofs up again somehow. I'm stubborn, and don't care.
Currently back at the golden statement (chapter 2 pre festival), and am planning on finishing chapter 2, and get to the hive in chapter 3.
koeker floeker wtf that’s horrible, I’m sorry. What version are you playing on. Also I was just able to beat the boss after my second attempt. They don’t let you leave the hive so I got a little scared without access to a chef.
@@trceb I play on the steam version, since I don't have any current gen consoles, only a 3ds, a Wii, and a GameCube.

I like that the music for Zommoth makes him sound like a horror game monster.
Somehow I'm not surprised this ended up being a lot better than Origami King .

And then there is also Team Slacker, it was honestly so good to have such a hard but fun fight for when you basically already beat the game, also I just love how they never finished a single quest even tho they could have easily beaten every bounty boss lmao
This footage is the 1.0.X version of the game. Team Slacker was added in 1.1.X.
As of Chapter 5, my absolute favorite boss in this game is the Beast. I did activate Vi's god mode to get past him. But even then she got OKOed. As did Leif. But that final phase where he EATS Vi and Leif, that's the best part. With Kabbu the only one left standing, his attack goes up and the Beast's attack goes down. That last part is SUPER satisfying. And just sit down AND APPRECIATE THE MUSIC!!!! Best track in the GAME!!!

Apparently the ULTIMAX Tank is based off of General Guy's tank in Paper Mario 64

Forget Origami King bringing back good story to Paper Mario, Bug Fables recreated the Paper Mario TTYD experience. This is the game everyone's been waiting for. And I'm enjoying it. But Venus and her plant Monster gave a crap load of trouble. Hard mode is a real pain, but I will complete the game with it. I can't deny the game did do a good job with it's bosses. But they can be annoying. But the wasp soilder counts as a mid-boss and you included the other mid-bosses.
The wasp soldiers are regular enemies. He did not include them for the same reason he did not include the encounter with Venus bugs in chapter 2 zombee and Beetle at the start of leifs request the bandits in that one Guys quest and the abomihoneys in crisbees request. There all fought as regular enemies
Nice work! This looks satisfyingly challenging. I'm twitching with anticipation for this game to be available on Switch. I hope it's soon.

Nah, it ain’t, the developers of Bug Fables was able to get the licensing to sell their game on the Nintendo Switch, that and since it’s not a complete replica of PM: TTYD, Nintendo won’t go after them

Glad to see someone else using OP poison badge builds. I went full into it, using the badges that makes the poison infinite and actually heal. Took a ton of badge points, but totally worth it!
Edit: Also glad to see that I wasn’t the only one who did Zommoth immediately after The Watcher. I thought I either was in an optional area with a super boss, or I sequence-broke, because it’s crazy that you can fight a boss that’s 110 HP (where the 2nd-to-last boss has 105) after a 65 HP boss. Also, I don’t think used the poison badges for it (or if I did, it was incomplete), on the hard difficulty, so there’s that.

I'm on chapter 6 start and hardest boss (for my opinion) what I've done is zommoth (16 attempts), easiest ones - spider (1 attempt), broodmother (1 attempt) and the beast (1 attempt)
The Beast in 1 attempt.. Wow.
From The Watcher on I had access to busted items. Crisbee Donut, Tangy Carpaccio, Queen's Feast, Spicy Candy and Burly Chips. Just goes to show how interesting badges can be and how useful items can be.

I love how many optional bosses there are. Though does anyone have any advice for momma chomper or the ultimax tank?
I’m at the part where I go to the rubber prison, what level/medals/strategy do you guys think I should use?
berserker medal on vi. she is you best atacker. put her in the front if the party but give her some hp medals. I accidentally grinded to max level by this point, but u should get by around level 23ish. if you want extra help, grind until you get the fly drop special move.
My Stategy- Use Vi as atacker. use kabbu as tank and support. (if you find the life stealer medal, put it on him. his atk sucks anyway) use leif to cast spells when needed. (frigid coffin will be become less reliable around this area in the game. enemy's might have a higher resistance) if leif isn't using spells, he is healing/ supporting.
around the dead land area, switch around vi and leifs badges so leif has berserker. ice is super effective in that area. when you're past that area, you might want to switch the badges back to how they were before. (with berserker badge on you can only attack so you cant use spells kind of defeating leifs purpose.) if you have the time, look into grinding golden seedlings. their drop is part of a recipe that heals 15 hp to entire party AND 15 tp as well. hopefully this helped.
@@sharischneider9720 you dont get fly drop from lieveling up but when you learn the Beefly. You cant go to the prison without it

How do you activate hard mode btw?
You can talk to a guy in the explorer's association (the building you start in) for a badge that makes everything harder when equipped.

Monsiuer scarlet right after chapter was actually stupidly hard there was so a small margin I had to work with in terms of rng

There is a way to refight bosses you missed later, yes~
Yes. by going the h.b.'s lab. he has a computer called b.o.s.s., and you can refight bosses with it. It also has a rush mode that can get you some handy medals.
Where do I go to fight Carmina?
The background gives a bit of a hint; she's in a hidden room on Metal Island.

How do you do so much damage
A majority of level ups I chose to upgrade medal points (I don't think I once upgraded HP). There are quite a few good medals that can help you do more damage, such as the poison set, as well as items that buff attack as well.
@@AchievementHuntersAnon I think you did upgrade hp I saw at one point everyone had some extra HP but then it dropped to like 10 HP for everyone

Ok, you are ridiculously overpowered here, there is no way of beating these bosses in hard mode through the normal story. Mother Chomper needs 2 attacks to kill my 3 members, and she attacks x2, and I'm in chapter 6
