CarFax has been terrible for really everyone (but CarFax). It hurts consumers, insurance rates, dealers, body shops, etc. Obviously we all want transparency but there's a huge difference between a "wreck" and a bumper getting repainted from a parking lot incident.
My E63S is black. Black looks amazing for about an hour after you wash it if you dont drive it. If you do drive it maybe 15-30 mins. My CL55 is silver. I hardly ever wash it & it always looks good. 🤷
If you are buying a Buick Envista there is no charge for white but all other colors have a 500 dollar charge. So is white number 1 because of customer's desire or customer's finances?
@@deanmitchell9568 there are several expensive “pearl white” paints in this number that people happily pay for. I’m sure there is a certain % that choose black and white because there is no charge, but ultimately I think consumer preference wins.
I would appreciate your input on this scenario. 2022 fully loaded AMG line, night package, rubellite red Mercedes-Benz E450 coupe w/ 26,500 miles. I was set to buy this off lease for $39,800. Car was t-boned 3 days before the buy out was finalized. Lease extended to 1/8/25 for the repair at MB. All cosmetic damage but still. Carfax will be dirty. With high car inventories and 0% interest financing and incentives abound... Continue to buy out or nah? If I buy new, it will probably not be a MB - as no time to really negotiate well. Thoughts?
Great information here.

Carfax "airbags did not deploy" should be an option. Really enjoyed this Mr. Benz.
@@deanmitchell9568 I think the third party listing sites would be wise to offer a third option for minor accidents only.
Good job done by the camera person to keep you all in frame with all the moving you 3 did.
I agree, he did a great job!

There is no doubt black cars are stunning WHEN they are clean.. Which as you mentioned, doesn't last very long!

Can you email me the VIN so I can do a quick analysis on the cars value with the bad CARFAX?
@BenzsandBowTies absolutely. What is your email?

The number one color still on the road from 2001 is Toyota's Desert Sand. Prove me wrong they are everywhere where I live.
Very interesting, I would not have guessed that would be a popular color!
For some reason, Toyota buyers seem to lovvvvve gold on tan. So gross
