Beans, from sowing to harvesting.

The video briefly presents the entire bean production cycle: sowing, tamping up, weeding, harvesting and storage.
The best time to sow depends on where you are. We are in Naples and the best month is April.
The earth has not been fertilized with any chemical fertilizer but has simply been turned over before sowing.
The beans used for planting come from a portion of the previous year's harvest, which have not been consumed and have been saved for this year's planting. With this "circular" system, the same beans have been sown for about 40 years.
The beans, once collected with all the pods, are placed on the ground and beaten with a tool of the ancient peasant culture: the Vavillo.
The Vavillo is an agricultural tool widely used on farms in the first half of the last century. This is formed by two wooden sticks tied together in such a way as to allow the rotation of the second stick. It is used to beat dried legumes to release them from the pod and is made up of two sticks of different lengths held together by a cord approximately 20/25 cm long. which is knotted at the end of the two clubs. The long rod remains in the hands of the farmer who, by shaking it, rotates the smaller one, pushing it forcefully onto the pods spread out on the ground. In this way the beans inside come out without problems.
When Nonno Giginno collects the beans, he doesn't consume them all, every year he puts some aside for sowing the following year. He has been doing this for 40 years and he has been eating only his beans for 40 years, which are actually delicious.

Buon giorno, ho seminato i fagioli rossi a metà settembre, adesso sono grandi, tenendo presente che siamo in Provincia di Napoli, ad Afragola, e tenendo presente che gli autunni sono miti e inverni tardivi , è possibile raccogliere fagioli anche se verdi ? Oppure ho sbagliato a seminarli e non raccolgo nulla?
Vorrei sentire il vostro parere in merito!

Buongiorno, con i cambiamenti climatici in atto ormai non si può dire nulla. Anche io quest'anno farò un'esperimento di seminare i fagioli fuori periodo, per vedere come va. Se fossi in lei aspetterei per vedere se vanno avanti. Eventualmente può raccoglierne solo una parte e vedere se sono commestibili (a volte anche noi li abbiamo raccolti prima del previsto e utilizzati più che altro per minestroni). Mi faccia sapere cosa fa e l'esito della raccolta. Grazie per i complimenti.
