its part of the curriculum but not fully implemented yet. there's like +- 10 vocational schools or those that offer vocational subjects excluding agricultural science .
@@JUSTINA. - Thank you for your answer. I am very interested in what is going on in Namibia. Are Design technology education and STEM implemented as a separate subject or simply as part of the science curriculum? Also, it was mentioned in your video that schools have very little money to work with. How are funds allocated to public schools? Are schools funded by the taxes that are paid by the local citizens or is there a mechanism that makes sure that not only schools in wealthy neighborhoods do well?
STEM is implemented as simply as part of the science curriculum, design and technology as a separate subject from junior primary to senior. ( it becomes an elective in senior level ) schools do receive subsidies from the state in proportion to the number of learners at that specific school .Basic education is free in Namibia(in state schools) ...but public school are permitted to get voluntary contributions as low as N$ 300.00 p/year from parents to supplement cost. donations, sponsors ,fund raising as other source of funds . more questions ? please email me :)
