- It's the last few bits to add to Sodor, though the pigs still haven't arrived yet, nor their pen, but will have to do that off camera as we add some vehicles to the village street, along with wiring up the telegraph poles, adding some extra street lights and finally making the river look less flat and lifeless!
Though I'm sure I've forgotten a few things to add, but hopefully next time you see Ffarquhar they'll all be in place!

A beautiful layout, James. Lovely to see the cars of the day being placed on the road therein.
Cheers very much, and I did do a bit of research for the main timeframe the Railway Series was set in and picked vehicles which would suit it, luckily PD Marsh do also mention the introduction date for the vehicle kits as well!
Nice layout James looking forward to seeing the engines running
Cheers very much Terry, will be a little while till a running session for Sodor, though do need to get round to chipping Toby sometime but do need more rolling stock for them all!
James. Nice work. You're right, the vehicles do look very small, but cars were back then. Pete.
Ta very much Pete, and I had to keep looking between the scale people I got and the vehicles and really question the size heh, but I trust that PD Marsh got the sizes right when making them!
What do you call this layout? Mine is Walmington cum Yealmington and is run as a heritage railway running to Yealmington, the proper name of the Dad’s Army location Walmington-on-Sea.
Generally I call it the Thomas layout, however it's just an N Gauge reproduction of Awdry's first Ffarquhar layout so it's name would be the same as that, Ffarquhar.
Some nice detailing James. I like the model car kits. Where did you get them? Also what did you use to stick them together with?
Cheers very much, and I got them from PD Marsh, and they are glued together with some normal Superglue, though might be ideal to use something bit stronger.
@@GosportRailworks thanks James, I'm going to look into them, they look like a fun build
No worries, and they were quite nice to put together, not too many pieces but means you can focus more on the paintwork!
I did it the easy way and ordered n scale cars from amazon. Those are so tiny!
I have done that as well, however they were a bit too modern for most my layouts, though will find a use for them at some point!
