I don't really agree with her ways to solve the conflict are not convincing. She was just afraid to say that to the family as she thought that it would affect his grandfather a lot. But, in the marriage, when he saw him allow the Hindi Sabha to be there for which she strived a lot to be banned, it just made her question herself that whether allowing this marriage is right or not as it itself is not that different from Hindi imposition for her. Just because Kayal is a headstrong girl that doesn't mean she don't self doubt herself. She thought using other alternatives would be better so that she won't hurt her grandfather whose condition is getting worse. Of course, she had to compromise her own ideals but her empathy for her grandfather is more that she was ready to compromise it. It's only when she realised her ideals are going to be in vain, she decided to care about her ideals more than her empathy for her grandfather.
