I wish that more people would understand the aggressiveness of adult monkeys and why one should never keep one as a pet. That being said, I'm thankful that VMF works so hard to protect these monkeys.
It looked like one of the males, that was trying to help the mom get her baby, had an injured back leg. I hope he is okay. Thank you VMF for another amazing job of rescuing an injured baby Vervet monkey. Good job!
It’s really great that you showed us how the monkeys behave naturally. The bigger male monkey looked really injured in his right back foot. Your work is truly conservational.
Thank you all so much for educated me to how these monkey's live, help one another, and even having fights. I'm so grateful you all are their helping and doing what you can. You all have changed my way of thinking. What i use to think was cute, is now abuse which i better understand. I will recommend your TH-cam channel to all those that need to be educated. You all are taking a chance. I see you all as angels...praying for your safety always.
The beginning of this episode was scary and interesting at the same time. But y'all handled the situation perfectly!👍So cute😍 how Hecate sat on the windowsill and watched what was going on in "sickbay".😂 It looks like she has made friends for life! Thank you so much for all you do! It's nice to see good and caring people for once. I wish you all the best!:)😊❤
What an exciting episode! This episode shows VMF's determination to save every life possible. Please know we're all extremely grateful you're there to help.
Great job saving the mini bandit. It was a bad experience for her but she certainly didn't lose her appetite! Really interesting commentary re what was happening and why. It's important to show this aspect of vervet behaviour. It's a very skilled part of your work. Of course the reestablished bond between mum and baby is so inspirational and uplifting 🤗
I agree. These videos are not only fun to watch but educational too. Perfect family entertainment. Send a link to someone you know who's an animal lover :)
Wow that was scary!! I’m so glad the baby is doing good and back home with mom. It’s has to break your hearts when they leave the nest. Thank you so much for being there for them. Thank you for these videos, I look forward to them every week ❤️

I am so amazed at the whole process from helping the baby too reuniting it with its mother. How happy she was to see her baby again. Unlike the ones whole suffer and cry when they lose them to the selfish people for money.. It was so touching. To see how happy and playful the baby was even after a bad injury. Thank you guys for all your hard work. I wish I could come there and help.
It is astounding to me that those babies can cling to their moms when the mom is jumping so high and far and being attacked during those territorial conflicts.
That baby bandit release was pretty tense! Very good demo of why they should not be pets. Lovely to see another integration, it never gets old- I love watching the whole process. 💕from🇨🇦
So relieved for Hecate recovering and being returned to her mom and troop. It was sweet how she returned to sickbay and looked thru the window. What a joy to watch the babies released with new moms. Thanks for all you do.❤
Oh my goodness...😢I thought that male had little Hecate! Everyone did a great job with that situation, and with Hecate. Happy to see her doing well and with Mom.
So sweet how she came back where she stayed to say hi to the people who cared for her . These monkeys are so smart and sweet and the babies are so adorable i can see why people want one for pets they are truly precious.. unfortunately many are exploited and abused and some of the worst offenders generally have multiple monkeys which is heart breaking . So glad you guys are doing the great job you are doing and putting so much thought into it and care to details as well as educating people about the monkeys and the troubles they face . They ate beautiful intelligent creatures .❤❤❤❤
I had a laugh over this thought - that these are the only monkeys in the world that absolutely know where and how to get a baby - by being nice and waiting patiently at the enclosure door! The rest of the monkeys in the world just know that somehow they must birth a baby from their own bodies. I love watching these sweet vervets and how protective they are of the troop! I know thongs can be anything but sweet when it comes to territory, but they rarely do that and mostly respect boundaries. Amazing creatures!
Watching this again once I knew it turned out fine, I realized the coordinated strategy the Bandits had in the right moment for Mom to grab Hecate. Thank you for showing things can turn scary quickly even if the animals know the humans around them. First and foremost, they are wild. Anything else, falls after that. Great video.
I thought all the different troops lived in separate compounds. If this is correct, why are the females fighting over territory? Or are they females of the same troop fighting among themselves?.Love all the videos and gradually learning about the fascinating interaction between the troop members.
Ever since I discovered your TH-cam channel a few weeks ago, I’ve gotten to where I can’t wait for Thursdays to come around to see your new episode. I laughed out loud when Mr. John said something to the effect of: when you get frightened and need to cling to mom, just know which end is up. 🤣🤣😊🤭 great sense of humor along with the biggest hearts I’ve ever seen for these awesome monkeys. I have a question (or few) for you: ☺️🤗 I’ve learned that a few monkeys have actually been born at the foundation other than the bandits babies. I was curious how this came to be (such as): Did a vasectomy fail concerning a male monkey in the troop? Or Did a bandit monkey get in or did she get out of her enclosure and get with a bandit or do you ever know? Also, if it was a failed vasectomy, do you know which male’s vasectomy failed and fathered the baby? Finally after a female gives birth and raises her baby & weans it, does the female continue to produce milk for her adopted baby or do y’all wait to pair the female with an orphan until after her milk dries up? I just found it fascinating watching previous episodes & discovering some of the females had actually given birth to a couple of the monkeys on site who are still together in the troops adopting orphan babies each year. Thank you and may God richly bless your foundation. 🫶🏻👍🏻😇
These people are fantastic, aren't they? Make sure to help get more subscribers ok? I send links to ppl. I know who need this kind of love in their lives and they're always grateful, always. I really enjoyed your comment btw.
we did have a few failed vasectomise, and it involved recapturing all males; wild males do visit on occasion and females are unfortunately more than eager to participate, no the adoptive babies don't get milk from the mother we teach them to use the milk feeding cages
I wondered about mom when the baby was calling for her. Being a Bandit, she would be able to get to the sickbay. I was not happy when Amazon stopped their 'smile' program
Sure are a lot more calm than a macaque, it’s not like you hold these monkeys often I can’t believe it’s not trying to, or hasn’t tried to bite you, yes, they do heal fast and you don’t seem to be bothering that much with pain, from what I see.
It seems there are a lot of babies needing foster moms. Are the moms killed or what? Have the foster moms had babies of their own and now are only foster moms . How are you always able to match them up, or does it take waiting times or juggling them about ?
Was Hannah running in and grabbing Coco unexpected? Or did I miss the rest? I don't think I've ever seen one grab a new mom so fast and go out with her.
Hi hope you have a great day there is a wild vervet monkey troop i want feed them without them knowing it's a human its working but what should I feed them i just give them mulberries
@jodisinna4680 as they are experienced and deal with this daily and are actually with the animal... They are better equipped to make decisions on how things get done than you are
@Cherry-ic4cv They are not rodents, they are primates. Not all species of monkeys are the problem you describe. Destroying a species harms everyone and everything on the planet. So if you really care about people, you wouldn't cause the extinction of a species. Pick up a science book some time
Those rodents are a real threat to farmers and homes, why you have made a mission to so rodents that cause great harm to people's way of life is astounding to me !!! People are of more value than rodents!!!!
Wow, they must’ve just grab all the skin & sewed into a ball! Just wondering why they didn’t take more time since it was already unconscious from the drugs, you would think the skin would pull tight in some areas now, I guess it’s better than nothing just wondering why it wasn’t done more carefully. Was it missing skin?😊
go to the nearest wall bang your head on the wall 10 times ask yourself why am I so stupid to want a monkey, if you still want one bang your head again 10 times on the wal and repeat until you realise having a monkey as a pet is not a good idea
I wish that more people would understand the aggressiveness of adult monkeys and why one should never keep one as a pet. That being said, I'm thankful that VMF works so hard to protect these monkeys.
The start of this video was fantastic thank you.
Glad you liked it!
Wow that interaction has really helped me to understand the fine balancing acts you guys do to reintroduce babies into new troops. Fascinating
For real! 😯
Yes it was amazing 🙏
Yes, that was incredible!
It looked like one of the males, that was trying to help the mom get her baby, had an injured back leg. I hope he is okay. Thank you VMF for another amazing job of rescuing an injured baby Vervet monkey. Good job!
YES Thank You 💖🤗🙉🙉 should guy's do an Amazing job
😉❤
Yes he has been in a male on male fight but will heal very quickly, its amazing how he stood up for the little one
Awesome job guys!!❤❤
She's soooo adorable 😍 Thank you for caring so wonderfully to her 🙏
These are my favotires, when you rescue a wild monkey, and are able to return them to their family.
Poor little girl but so glad she was able to survive and be reunited with mom. Even if it was so intense for all involved.
It’s really great that you showed us how the monkeys behave naturally. The bigger male monkey looked really injured in his right back foot. Your work is truly conservational.

I can almost hear her thinking, "Gosh. This is all about me!"
What an exciting episode! This episode shows VMF's determination to save every life possible. Please know we're all extremely grateful you're there to help.
That male looks disabled...but he still protects!
Hi guys. Great to see you. It's smokey from fires here in Canada so I'm just waiting for vmf to make my day. You guys are great. 😊❤
Hello, my friend!
❤ 😊 I absolutely loved this. Watched the full footage with a smile on my face.
Thank-you xx
Another wonderful video! Thank you for the updates on all our sweet monkeys. 🐒❤

Great video as always, thank you everyone. All the monkeys are such beautiful complex animals ❤🙏🐵
Yes they are!

"Vervets behaving badly," lol! Quite right in reminding people primates are NOT pets.
Thanks
Thank You
Thank you

May God bless you for taking care of the baby so he can go back to mom well ❤
Wow! What a nail-biter! Compliments to all of you for your mastery of a difficult situation.
Yes, thank you
Good job getting them mommies and new troop
Poor innocent baby taking the brunt of the attack. Life is not easy for Vervet babies.
The release to the Bandits was fascinating and reinforces how protective monkeys are of their young.
I'm so pleased that the healing process is so good for Hecate I wish her a healthy, happy life from now on without further serious injuries.
It never gets old watching these beautiful small beings and the amazing organization helping them to live their best lives. Thank you 💛
You are so kind
You are doing the best job ❤❤❤

Yes the male was actually trying to protect him, everyone got a fright even Hectate
Hi! I love your videos and was hoping for an update on little Boogie. How is he doing?
He's doing great, he's currently with Felix and the 2 will be re-united with theor foster mums soon
That’s great!! Thank you so much for responding. I love that little guy❤
This is beautiful baby, Sending loads of love and hugs ❤❤❤❤

Thank you for showing things can turn scary quickly even if the animals know the humans around them. First and foremost, they are wild. Anything else, falls after that. Great video.
Why do you always seem to be rubbing the baby monkeys head? I never notice monkeys doing this to their babies.
No vervet monkey left uncared for 😀👏 A catch-up with the samangos would be nice sometime.
I thought all the different troops lived in separate compounds. If this is correct, why are the females fighting over territory? Or are they females of the same troop fighting among themselves?.Love all the videos and gradually learning about the fascinating interaction between the troop members.
I love the sounds the babies makes so very sweet
The cries really make me on edge and I have to block the speaker so that I'm not too disturbed.
My cat gets really concerned when the babies call or cry 😿
It sounds like gargling to me 😊
Their cry is probably at the perfect pitch to make its mum hear it and respond.
That was a heart warming story. Well done. 👍
Thank you very much!

I just wish those ppl who throw their monkey babes back into the forest would watch your channel. Their forest floor is deep with skeletons.
More got to get what they are meant to be free in the wild it's beautiful how they get new moms
Wow that’s 😮so sad 😢 😢😢😢😢my heart ♥️ ❤❤❤❤go out to the baby monkey 🙉
I wondered about mom when the baby was calling for her. Being a Bandit, she would be able to get to the sickbay. I was not happy when Amazon stopped their 'smile' program
yes she was very cross with us and sitting outside sickbay we had to be extra careful coming in and out, her followers also gave support to her
Sure are a lot more calm than a macaque, it’s not like you hold these monkeys often I can’t believe it’s not trying to, or hasn’t tried to bite you, yes, they do heal fast and you don’t seem to be bothering that much with pain, from what I see.
At least they don't make horrid screeching noises like macaques. These guys actually make adorable sounds!
She came back for some of that good food she was fed😅
Vervets are the prettiest monkeys of all, to me. They seen phenomenally more intelligent than Macaques.
How do you keep track of which monkey is which?❤️❤️❤️
Vcs nao tem traducao...que pena nao entendo..so assisto sem saber a real situação...sou do brasil....brigada
Just wondering, do you spay/neuter? I've never seen them with their own babies.
We vasectomise the males
Did you introduce the baby badly injured by a male back with her biological mom or a foster
her mom
It seems there are a lot of babies needing foster moms. Are the moms killed or what? Have the foster moms had babies of their own and now are only foster moms . How are you always able to match them up, or does it take waiting times or juggling them about ?
best to watch a few videos
The female monkeys, and the babies choose eachother
The females queue up to be given a chance. 😊
Your professional behaviour has impressed me. Is there a proper charity for asian monkeys?
28:19
Question: do adopted babies get their new mothers status?
yes
No it something happen with this little monkey before or is this the same incident from a different point of view?
same incident
Was Hannah running in and grabbing Coco unexpected? Or did I miss the rest? I don't think I've ever seen one grab a new mom so fast and go out with her.
Wil alles graag leren.
Did the male break his leg?
Hi hope you have a great day there is a wild vervet monkey troop i want feed them without them knowing it's a human its working but what should I feed them i just give them mulberries
any fruit or vegtables
@@VervetMonkey thanks
I see some of the monkeys are those wounds on their back? It looks like their backs are all opened up
@jodisinna4680 as they are experienced and deal with this daily and are actually with the animal... They are better equipped to make decisions on how things get done than you are

@tammywooley2635 this tells the world how badly you were raised
I thought the Bandits were males.
Not so?
not so
They are a troop of males and females
I don't understand why did all the monkeys tried to kill the baby
Bc they are very territorial^^
It wasn't a member of their own troop. Sad that nature has this caveat to its beauty.
Wow, they must’ve just grab all the skin & sewed into a ball! Just wondering why they didn’t take more time since it was already unconscious from the drugs, you would think the skin would pull tight in some areas now, I guess it’s better than nothing just wondering why it wasn’t done more carefully. This is what will happen if both my kids together, lol
The male monkey is LAME on a back leg. Might want to check that
They need a dog or a stun gun for safety
Can't they have someone who can speak English without such a heavy accent?
How to buy monkey.
