Great buy looks like the standard bike to me as I have the kx125 2004 and always put a smile on my face every time lol Looking forward to seeing this bike all cleaned up
It's gonna clean up well I can tell. In ways the dust has probably helped protect it. Same, I'm convinced it's original and low hours. That can also mean, not cared for in ways. Can't wait to spend more time with it and then see what it sounds like. Love the punch from a 125 once wound up. Nice bike you got then 👍
Don’t restore it dude.Love the 20 year old look.Just change the tires, filters and fluids and go ride.If you fall n love with it change the forks n shock or get them rebuilt.Cant wait for your 2 stroke wheelie vids👊🏻✊🏻
Lol power wheelies maybe because in useless at proper wheelies. I like the original look rather than a minter in frightened to get a spec of dirt on. Not sure it's for me but too good to let pass. Forks definitely need doing, 120 pounds at the shop to do both. 15 for seals. Need to maybe learn that myself. Shock would need sending away though.
Lovely bike mate and gonna clean up well not even any stone chips under the rear mudguard or the rear shock protector great find look forward to the test drive vid 👍👍
The more I look at it the more I think I can't scratch it! So much cleaner under the dust. Seems all original to me I gotta look after it. Still undecided what to do with it. Cheers
@@motomachinezuk8786 yeah I can see it looks good under the dust etc, Don't restore it.. keep it mate, it will only go up in value. Make sure you use super UL in it mind..I would probably add some octane booster too.
Looks a nice bike mate, I wouldn't start it with really old oil in, be better just letting it drain completely over night... Warming the oil up just makes it drain faster that's all
would that be a classic Japanese bike then ? equivalent to the 90s Nissan Skyline ? I've got 3 ebikes now having made 2 this year, the new one is unusual because its a road bike with drop bars and then I got a BBSHD mid drive motor on it, so it can in theory climb steep hills easily while being loaded with tonnes of batteries and maintain a relatively low overall weight and cost for its high speed and long range.
Yes it's getting there for a classic, this is very low hours for the year and all seems original, too good for what I use them for but also too good to turn down. That is unusual but everyone has a different desired riding position. I watch JohnnyNerdOut channel and he swears by them mid brive BBSHD, for me that's the next stage up from hub build. I would like a full suspension for that, the right 1 will pop up sometime. Addictive this ebike stuff in fact all ev's interest me.
@@motomachinezuk8786 thats pretty much why I got one, and also seeing it on Bruno Power channel, no problems with it so far but it is a bit jumpy especially the PAS thing, which I never used on my hub ones. The resistance when you pedal the bike is also really high, presumably because its spinning the motor at a high RPM, even so it shouldn't be generating electrical resistance when the power is cut off. My Kona MTB is still my favourite bike though, most useful, most value for money, I even use it to go shopping.
@@ash0787 I switch pas off most of the time as like you say its keeps going for a few seconds, easier in tecky situation to use throttle. Watch him too. Kona must be good, hard tails were a good starting point for me just to get the knowledge. Good on roads tho. Kona is the daily eh, I use my little honda grom like that it's perfect for small commuting etc..
@@motomachinezuk8786 yes its dirty enough that nobody wants to steal it, I like with the hub that I don't have to worry about the drivetrain, i've been going with 1 pedal for about 6 months now because a bolt wore away due to lack of the right tools / replacement bolt . I like my 'stealth bomber' / vector thingy but even with magura MT7 etc its so heavy that I have to be really careful so i'm on edge a lot of the time, and the low range means I don't get anywhere I wouldn't on the MTB, I think it would benefit from different tyres to improve the rolling resist, it could probably be amazing off road but I don't have the tool to remove the cap to lower the front fork pressure, its a big hexagon nut thing about 4cm wide thats on super super tight. I ordered that USD-8 Volcano suspension they use on the Sur Ron but what turned up was some 'KKE' branded thing, quality seems similar but I can't be certain.
@@ash0787 I'm not sure of the vector. I shall look as always wanted to try a stealth bomber. I assume you have a small battery on that? Always need a special tool for something, annoying that is. Kke never heard of but probably similar. Fast ace is very similar. You got a good collection there mate 👍
