- When it comes to hot air ballooning, there's really no where better or more famous than Cappadocia, Türkiye.
We recommend doing your own research for which hot air balloon company to go with in Cappadocia as there are tons to choose from, but we went with Butterfly Balloons and had an unforgettable time.

For a great little lunch spot in Göreme, Cappadocia, visit Omurca Art Cave Cafe. Delicious food, lovely setting and a bonus if you love cats.

From Goreme to Devrent / Imagination valley it's roughly 15-20mins car ride. We took a taxi there who waited for us with the meter running and therefore we had a guaranteed ride back. There were some other taxis though but we were originally going to have our driver bring us to another spot too but the weather had other plans unfortunately!

It is really a massive blessing this whole turkey trip. Going into it we had so many life bucket list item things that we've always wanted to do and didn't expect to be able to tick so many of them off during this trip. One of those countries that holds a special place in our hearts 💕

We went to Kapadokya last may. We could not wake up for the baloon rides. it was so hard to wake up for it.
Ihlara Valley is my favorite. Bring your thermos and enjoy your coffee or tea.

What a wonderful experience the Balloon Flight was I was there mid Nov I guess the only difference for me was it was -2 degrees a week after we left Cappadocia it snowed. I have been loving your Turkey series 🇦🇺

@@PeterandYen I'll put my hotair balloon 🎈 $ in a piggy bank and will not break it til we are going hehehe. Yup, the horse head rock is very picturesque. Many photographers came there for that shot. I ran out of time so I only saw camel rock.
Great video.do all the ballon companies take off from the same place or each company have their take off location. Im going to cappadoia next month. I am excited already.
They all take off from the general same area but they are dispersed over a large area of land and they take off at different times. Hope you have an awesome time 😁👍

We knew we were in safe hands because of the reputable company we researched and went with so didn't feel any nerves 🙂 the actual take off and ride is super smooth! 200 eur / 300 nz$ that's more expensive than lowest altitude sky diving in NZ😯
Hot air balloon rides in NZ are about $500 nzd per person so it's actually a really good price when comparing that way 🙂👍

Thank you for many useful information. We are about going to Cappadocia for hot air balloon flight but with Excursion Mania. They asked us to provide passports and prepayment. Did you pay and provide your passports in advance ? Excursion Mania said pay at the day we flight but we received other email said we need to deposit and provide the passports and the flight insurance. To be honest, we aren’t comfortable with this company.
Hiya we didn't have to provide our passports for our flight with Butterfly balloons.. but when we booked there was an optional field to enter the details, since it wasn't compulsory we didn't. We also just paid in full for our flight when we booked. If you aren't comfortable with the company maybe research a few others? We were happy with Butterfly Balloons but Royal Balloon are suppose to also have a very good reputation (they were our first choice but were fully booked so we went with our second which was Butterfly Balloons and had an awesome time) 🙂 good luck! 🍀🍀🍀
aw so lucky! We had much worse luck than you and didn't go up (weather) and then had to fight to get a refund

Lanyards for your equipment are essential even if your not at height. 😬 Makes me nervous thinking you camera isn't attached securely.
😅 so far I've never dropped the camera 📷 even as I've fallen the camera is well protected 😂
Oh and our main camera was strapped to our wrist on the ride so all good 👍 but the GoPro is on a long stick so could only grip hard for that 😅
