Damn. Anyone else feel super nostalgic hearing jeremys cleans and mikes vocals mixed screaming about zombies again? It’s like my inner 11 year old is smiling and experiencing yet another joyous moment. This EP didn’t disappoint. :’)
If you listen to ZII right after Zombie EP, there is almost a "sister album" quality to this. You can feel the relation, but tell they're different enough to be their own.
I did this when ZII first dropped and it legit sounds like they came out almost back to back. 10+ years away from this concept, after Prada went in a completely different direction and they didn’t miss a beat
Fun fact, they played with the idea of ZII even before The Act and actually wrote The Thread as a song for that. But when they temporarily scratched that idea they changed Thread up a little for it to fit more into what became The Act
all the posers said that, heard the act and dropped out. Their loss, and funny cause now they are back. Wagon riders. while the true fans say truenorth with the journey of TDWP
Yo Giuseppe deserves some serious credit for the drumming on this album. Seriously the drumming on this album is absolutely phenomenal. I love how varied the feels are throughout all those chuggy parts. It keeps things interesting.
Sorry, but this is one of the best releases of the entire year. Filled to the brim with creative ideas, insane songwriting, and stellar production. Each member is performing like they are at the top of their game, keeping you hooked the entire run. I mean, come on. Mike’s vocals are just ridiculous here. But what tops it all off is the lyrical execution. The concept is so currently relevant and hits home to another level (but with a badass, zombie twist). I was never a huge TDWP fan prior, but goddamn they’ve got me sold
I’ve got the biggest grin on my face right now. I don’t think Prada ever “left.” But they definitely tried something different, which is perfectly fine. However, I’ve always preferred the heavy side of them. This is their best song in the last 10 years. And that’s saying something coming from a band that puts out nothing but bangers. This has to be song of the year so far.
You don't think they ever "left"? What about Daniel? Or Chris? Or James? This album isn't bad, but it would've been way better written by the originals. This isn't zombie. This is a zombie tribute ft two members who were on the original.

this sounds like classic prada with the perfect balance of their newer sound. this song will go down as a classic with Hey John, Dez Moinez, Dogs, Born to Lose and Outnumbered. Great work Prada, and thank you for bringing back a tastey hint of the OG sound.
I found this song at a important time in my life, during finding recovery in a four year long addiction with amphetamine addiction. It completely represents my own personal, struggle (the whole album does really) with fighting an battle with addiction, upsetting the sickness, that feeling of dispair as those around you die and fall to this disease, and somehow finding the will to fight and climb out of that dispair. I've been clean 1 month, 11 days and 1 hour of this post, there is a way to upset the sickness.
That beginning riff is so catchy. The hook stays in ny mind, and this song as a whole shows a tremendous evolution and maturity while staying true to what TDWP has always brought to the table. The new drummers contributions are really appreciated.
Can we just talk about the ending? Holy fuck. Crazy how these guys are still putting out these heavy ass songs. I was 9 years old when With Roots Above and Branches below came out. I’m 21 now and this shit just takes me back man :’)
That ending breakdown was just fucking nuts. Like, holy fuck these guys just keep getting better. And it’s unbelievable how good their vocals have become. This was so worth the wait.
The breakdown in this song blew my ass cheeks off and now I've got a hank hill situation. TDWP showing why they're the heavyweights in the game with this jam.
Definitely my favorite song from the ep and I honestly think this might be my new favorite song from them in general The whole song and especially that ending is one of the most epic things I think I’ve ever heard Upset The Sickness!!
I mean, it's the fallow up to the Zombie EP right? It's not really any heavier than I expected it would be. It is however, quite a bit more technical than I expected it would be. Good shit boys.
