On June 12, Orlando was attacked. This is a tragedy for UCF, Central Florida and the nation. Our hearts go out to all of the victims and their families. It is in our nature as Knights to comfort, console and assist.
Hundreds lined up at UCF today to give blood in an outpouring of support from the campus and Central Florida communities, and blood drives will continue on campus through the remainder of the week.
With the death toll at 49 and the number of injured at more than 50, long lines of donors - students, faculty, staff and even many with no connection to the university - waited outside of the Student Union and inside Bright House Networks Stadium where One Blood’s Big Red Buses collected donations.
