Very interesting, and good information. I have a 30-40 foot bald cypress tree in my yard love it(zone5 central Indiana)

A friend recently bought an old home and there are several gorgeous, mature trees in the yard. One of them is a larch! It immediately caught my eye, and I wished it was in my yard 😅 We planted a bald cypress in the woods, near a spring, and can’t wait for it to take off.

'Maymont Gold' is a rename of the old British 'Aurea' from Young's Nursery. Biltmore and a bunch of other east coast nurseries sold it 1900-1920's and for some silly reason one guy did not know this and thought it needed a new name. It didn't needa new name but it's still a really good, colorful plant. The Maymont 'Aurea' is located in the Italian Garden in Richmond. Best example of 'Aurea' in the US.

I'd be curious to hear if there are any updates on the availability of the dwarf pinus taeda 'JC Raulston' from plant nurseries. From some internet searches it seems that they might have been intermittently available from the now-defunct Yucca Do plant nursery.

This video is not working my end. All I am getting is a buffering wheel spinning and video not playing at all.

Tim said the cones on the monkey puzzle tree will not have seed in them because there is no male around...

Pretty cool, eh? Awesome cones with great ornamental value, and absolutely no potential for weediness!
