I'm a college student on a budget and made the mistake of buying the WF-4833 (AKA WTF was I thinking?) My Dad told me he's always had great success with Epson. I had this for the first semester and then ordered after market ink on Amazon. It then gave me an error message saying 'Epson ink not recognized', called Epson and couldn't even understand their tech support lady who didn't understand a word I was saying as she tried to have me clean the print heads! Bad experience all the way around and never did get the printer fixed and ended up tossing it in the dumpster....my advice is always get a laser printer from now on! Great video by the way!
I have had to replace the maintenance box on an Eco tank Epson printer several times. I can tell you that the Epson one lasts about 4 times as long as the Poschink one.
NEVER update the firmware. It will constantly prompt you to do so - don’t do it. It only creates problems. Throw that printer in the garbage. I did mine - two year lifespan and INSANE ink pricing. Using non Epson ink cartridges will kill the life of the printer. It works, but only for a short time. Premium off brand ink can work but they’ve made it so that non-Epson ink will kill it in a fairly short time.
I blocked the printer's access to the Internet using my router, so it can't "phone home" anymore to check for new firmware, it only talks to the local network. Will definitely report back here on this and the previous video as to how long this thing lasts... Thanks for watching and commenting!

I think that's good advice if you need something that just works for a long time laser is the way to go - thanks for the comment!
Went from watching a video 5 years old to latest video, the changing in The voices 😆
Yep - we are growing up! Thanks for watching...
Great instructions. But... I checked my Firmware it says it up todate but it's SG7O2. Did you change your firmware???
Thanks! No, my firmware is still SG10N4

Thanks for the heads up - I think it's interesting there's a chip in there and so you can't just clean it out and re-use it...
