Rails in Wales. New service, on board, 231011 Barry-Bargoed return.

Join us, on June 7th 2024, as we travel on board class 231011 from Barry Island to Bargoed, on its first week in service on the diagram. Interesting passing points on the way. Including various stations, old signal boxes plus Welsh and English announcements.

I know it was after the morning peak but there appeared to be very few (or mainly no-one) joining or leaving the train. If TfW is offering a huge increase in the train service and with four car trains, I hope the public will respond by using the trains.

My son is one of many who still work from home. His office is in Cardiff and some days only a dozen or so, out of over 400, come into Cardiff.
