When Rally looks puzzled as to why the car would've blown up, Mini shows her the detonator she'd been holding on to. Hence the wink and high-five afterwards :P

Yeah, Japan has always kinda had an America fetish. This is very evident in Initial D, Gunsmith Cats, and countless other 80s and 90s Anime. But the genius of it is the Japanese do this without losing their culture and national identity

The best thing about the 3 cars in the intro here 0:26 is that they’re all Shelby The Shelby GT500 and the AC Cobra (being the obvious ones) as well as the Dodge Viper, which fun fact was partially designed by Carroll Shelby himself and is basically the modern equivalent and Spiritual successor to the Cobra (Both being sports cars with big engines and named after snakes)
I don't usually watch AMVs, but sweet Gun Jesus, this one gives me an absolute freedom boner. Chicks, guns, supercharged muscle cars, and that GT500 is the sweetest cherry on top I could ever imagine. All in one package, brought to the absolute maximum with Motley Crue's greatest hit.
Most amv's I've seen have some silly song, be it some sappy love song or something modern. But older music is where it is at, way better than a lot of modern music.
Seeing as the original version of this seems to have been chosen by the algorithm to be shown to the masses, I came here from that, and I'm glad I did. Original was great, but the legit Motley Crue track made it just that bit better.
Tbh I dont like cutesy looking anime characters but this and Riding Bean have some the most impressive animations and attention to detail I ever seen in 2d animation period.

I see there's a new version of this. I'm not sure which one I prefer. Incorporating the intro was a nice touch, but some things just felt out of sync for some reason. Overall great work and some amazing attention to detail.
The manga came in two bursts. The OVA is loosely based on the first run. In the early 00's he did the second part but it fizzled out in the end. Kind of a downer ending.

Об Аниме и Манга. Нарочито сглаженные прорисовки героев специально подчёркивают детализированные прорисовки Оружия и Автомобилей. Ведь каждый зритель так или иначе ассоциирует себя с героями. Значит достаточно общих линий. И напротив знаменитые CZ-75 и Walther PPK и Shelby Mustang выглядят словно настоящие. И тем помогают зрителям почувствовать действие Аниме или Манга. Только Скромное мнение.
I’ve never seen this anime but could figure that this scene is based in Chicago,USA! The expressway they are driving on is the i-290. I can tell because you can see the Sears tower in the distance and at the end of the scene they go underneath the old post office building!
