My goodness, this is just too amazing! I always knew the talented artists at Naughty Dog never fails to impress. They just keep topping themselves with the sheer attention to detail they put in all of their games! They truly do not compromise to make their vision a reality. They only scale back their artistry because of technical limitations of certain hardware (even then, they squeezed every last ounce of power out of the PS3). Now that they have even better hardware to work on, they can really push their talents to the limits!! I can't wait till Uncharted 4 is out... and please please please I hope they are working on a second Last of Us game!

Imaginative Burst Its always been like that,one team works on one game and another works on another game.So only thing we can do now is have faith and expect a Jak&Daxter or Crash game in bout 2-3 years time.I feel like Jak and Daxter especially cos they said that when they split up the team after UC3,they wanted to actually make a Jak&Daxter game but then decided to make something new,hence we got the game of a generation-LAST OF US.
The PS4 is a competent piece of hardware and at a competitive price. Naughty dog are fantastic developers and it's nice to see that people understand (at least in some part) how much work goes into development of modern games. And yes, the PC MR might be able to do 4K@60fps, but at what cost? Having done the whole PC gaming thing years ago (with Half Life 2), I got fed up with service packs, driver updates, DX updates, Antivirus problems and having to wait for windows to load. PC gaming might be more technologically advanced, but it's just not worth the cost to do something as simple as playing computer games.
And let's be honest, there aren't any games that look like this or The Order so far(at least no something that can ever compete in price with the PS4). Optimization ftw.

I don't know man... I mean... if you've played TW2 on the PC... In many ways its quality wasn't close to UC2 (obviously...) However, in so many aspects, its graphics were simply at another level. Seriously, I mean they were mindblowing in a way that other games weren't, apart from Crysis Warhead and Crysis 2 after the patch. That game looked like a picture perfect painting so much of the time on PC. Trust me you have no idea. Based on that, I for one am very confident in CD Projekt's ability to create a visual masterpiece. Thats why I'm not worried, while lots of people are calling downgrade on that game. PS4 exclusives will look better in some ways. Uncharted, for example, will have characters and animations and interactions that are light years ahead of what we get on PC. Having played UC2, I know the crazy quality you'll get with UC4 However, the best PC games will always look better in many ways. Its like trying to compare Crysis 1 and Uncharted 2 by looking at character models and animation, which doesn't really accomplish much.
This says a lot that naughty dog is willing to give as an hour show in how they do work on Nathan Drake. And says a lot that these developers are willing to come out and explain there work to use they probably never do public speaking so I'll give them a pass for being nervous I'm just glad they did this a learned a lot on how hard they work. I like learning about the process because Naughty Dog games are some of the best looking on any console. The images showing Nate's development on PS4 was totally cool. They were really the only thing keeping me going because this was not the most lively panel, except for that one girl.
On 25:17 he looks way too realistic for a game character, showed it to people & they thought it was a real person!! The best graphics I've seen in my life, perfect job naughty dog.

if anyone wants to better understand what yibling was saying: older generation graphics didn’t have the same rendering power as current gen so artists would therefore make lighting and shadow detail part of the textures. this means those details were static and did not change according to the player’s view perspective nor the actual light sources in the 3D environment, which looks unrealistic. but because we can now have higher quality lighting and higher rendering detail in games, that allows us to make textures that have less shadow and light detail already on them, so that it looks much more true to life when light interacts with things dynamically in-game.
I'd just like to point out that Dog spelled backwards is God! Take a moment to sink that in while we praise the wonderful developers of Naughty Dog for working so hard to make the graphics so wonderfully awesome! I just hope the storyline will be equally awesome if not more so!
I'm aware how much goes into making a game like this. This is just a part of the game's process and it takes loads effort. Much respect for the studio Naughty Dog and its talented artists! Looking forward to Uncharted 4 The biggest game of 2015.

It's set quite a bit far in the future, and he is mainly modelled directly off of Nolan North and he's aged slightly so these multiple factors have quite the impact on the looks of Nathan drake.
To be honest ..The order 1886 characters details and textures details were fabulous and even hair compare to this I mean that's just true next gen graphics man just one character model for gameplay and cinematic thats just awesome in my point of view but even this is great cause naughty dog always does something thats uses the optimum power of the console and they use good combination of technical people and artist to create really killer graphics, gameplay and there game runs very smoothly it never lags or drops the frame rate and yes they don't use scan model these are the great things that I like about naughty dog. Man just listen what leaad character artist says at 25:52 to 25:56 ...he says we abhudhabhidu looool

O.k. I'm really impressed by the graphics here showed but, will we have this EXACT quality graphics (minimum) Real Time In Game Gameplay while playing on our PlayStation 4? I mean the model, shaders and so on? The Gameplay seems different and I KNOW it's just Pre Alpha. I just wanna tell you please, DO IT. We want to see this quality graphics PLUS, you are telling those are In game. Guerrilla Games did the same with al the Echo pictures showed back then and the final game wasn't achieve THAT quality. So, I hope you guys can deliver with the lighting and other stuff to look like this images you bring.

I think he did its called a thiefs end so I think he's old
It's set quite a bit far in the future, and he is mainly modelled directly off of Nolan North and he's aged slightly so these multiple factors have quite the impact on the looks of Nathan drake.
To be honest ..The order 1886 characters details and textures details were fabulous and even hair compare to this I mean that's just true next gen graphics man just one character model for gameplay and cinematic thats just awesome in my point of view but even this is great cause naughty dog always does something thats uses the optimum power of the console and they use good combination of technical people and artist to create really killer graphics, gameplay and there game runs very smoothly it never lags or drops the frame rate and yes they don't use scan model these are the great things that I like about naughty dog. Man just listen what leaad character artist says at 25:52 to 25:56 ...he says we abhudhabhidu looool
The only part of drake left from uncharted 3 is the side of his face and hair
looks amazing, guess ill be buying a ps4 when this comes out!
The most disappointing thing about this was the lack of the excellent motion interpolation and per object motion blur from UC2 and TLoU. Sucks as ND has the best motion blur of all the devs.
In the real time demo you can see both. The animation blending is terrific.
