I used to be very apprehensive, as well. A little texture never hurt anybody. As long as your hair does not conflict with the tasks you are required to perform, you have absolutely no worries (unless they want an HR incident/case). The first style that I wore during the styling segment, is so corporate friendly! It's away from the face as well! #WIN Best wishesssssssssss.
I'm an advocate in training and I wear crazy hairstyles to class and I seat at the very front eye to eye with the lecturer and I can see them giving me the side eye.im a very expressive person.. So I don't give a hoot.. From my nail color to my hairstyle to the color of my shoes and scarves.. I do me. Mind of them has been brave enough to throw me out yet 😂😂😂... If God gave you a bright personality I don't think you should tone it down for anybody. If that means I don't practice.. Then so be it.. God will guide me where the personality he gave me will flourish..i can't even study properly if I don't express myself through my hair and clothes... But so far I've done crazy hairstyles and haven't been kicked out.. I guess if you look confident it's hard for them to give you grief 😂😂😂..and I'm just stubborn like that
I think I'm gonna do this style over and over for a year! It's freaking bomb! Budget friendly ✅ Easy to do ✅ can last 4-6weeks ✅ scalp accessible ✅ new mom friendly✅ protective style ✅ slayage ✅ GREAT VID! Thanks for the details!
Queen you take the guessing work out of all of it your detail is impeccable like the number of packs you use how much it caused each strand how many twist you have girl you are the bomb.com love you and your videos
um ... I am living for his one. You are giving us Egyptian Queen here! One of the many things I love about your videos is how clever you are. As a hairstylist, I love picking up tips and tricks and you always come up with great ones :-)
I AM 2 YEARS NATURAL. I'M 59 YRS BEAUTIFUL. DAUGHTER, YOU HAVE TAUGHT ME SOMETHING NEW, FRESH & OH SO FABULOUS!!! I'M ROCKING THE UP-DO TO CHURCH SUNDAY. THANK YOU, SO MUCH! I CAN DO MY DAUGHTERS HAIR AS WELL!💖💖💖👑👑💖💖💖
Oh man this style waa such a big hit. I've had it in for about 3 weeks now and it so beginner friendly and such an easy style to manage. I love it so much I'm doing it again this weekend 😉😍. Thanks for such a great tutorial
I LOVE how you started your video with no makeup. Thank you for lettuing natural beauty shine through...THEN your hairstyle & makeup were BOMB!!!! Queen vibes. Bravo.
Look when I say I have been looking for a tutorial with twists this size for WEEKS ! I am living for you HUNTYYY😩😩 You are giving me Akashi Queen of the Damned REALNESSS 👸🏽👸🏽
Unique La'Shae Haha, yessss. I was honestly so hesitant about how people would respond to the larger twists, but ☺ I'm so happy it was well received! 💖 Thanks for watching.
This is spot on. I am a beginner and can barely do hair but this was so simple and easy to follow. I watched this video yesterday and did the hair style the next day. It doesn't take long at all. I did this style since I am going camping and didn't want to bother with my hair. Thanks for the easy yet stylish and beautiful tutorial!!!🤩🤩
It's not just that you show how to make the style, but you give ideas on what ways to wear it so people can see for themselves how versatile the hairstyle is. Thank you, you're a professional!
Yes yes I am definitely going to try this I tried the no braiding crochet method for the half up half down look with the bun at the top and I got a lot of comments on it it was really cute I am horrible horrible horrible at braiding my own hair but this method I think I can definitely try. I like the big parts and it seems really simple you're just twisting and securing it with the rubber band at the beginning I really love your hair it looks gorgeous and thanks for the tutorial please do more tutorial like these for people who are beginning I love protective hairstyles anything that I don't have to do my hair for a while and my actual hair is not being pulled on or manipulated too much love it love it love it
Just found my next protective style except I'm going to use kanekalon hair because that's what I have on hand. I must say you have a baby face, but as soon as you put on makeup it's like sasha fierce....go ahead girl!!!
Lol yes, my baby face game is SO real. Haha, but I am glad you enjoyed the tutorial! I wish you luck on your install. I'm sure the kanekalon hair will be just fine! ☺ Thanks for watching!
I'm not often wowed by tutorials but this rubber band technique just gave me the courage to do this style without wording if it'll slip out! Thank you'
I'm glad that I finally found an easy style to do myself. I have entered the beginning stages of carpel tunnel. Before my symptoms came about, I was so used to doing my own hair. Since then, I've been feeling a little discouraged. Thank you for posting this video! I wanna cry right now.
just gorgeous! ; ) very beginner friendly too great shooting for close up instruction. thanks for being patient enough to be a clear communicating and demonstrating teacher!
Mannnn, black folks steady turning this hair game into magic.... when I think I know how to do something, folks come up with easier methods. This is nice.
Did this style last night.... I love it. Had difficulties at first getting the rubber band close to the scalp. By my 3rd twist I was a pro. I normally do the invisible root method.... love this so much more. Very cute outcome.
OHMYGOODNESS!!!!! I LOVE THIS VIDEO. YOU ARE TRULY A BLESSING TO PEOPLE LIKE ME WITH SHORT NATURAL HAIR. YOU MADE THIS STYLE SO EASY FOR SHORT HAIRED WOMEN SUCH AS MYSELF.
I. CAN'T. WAIT. TO. TRY. THIS! I could never get the original method for marley twists so the rubbers would make it soooo much easier. Thanks for this :)
I love all the styles and updos: all of them. I can't choose. But that make-up though! With the pink, the teal, black flicked liner and the shimmer pigment. FIRE!!!!! Newly subscribed.
Thank you soooooo much for this quick, easy and very beginner friendly style and step by step video. I couldn’t make it to my stylist and I was able to do the jumbo twist for my Miami vacation. It turned out AMAZING! I got so many compliments. Thank you, thank you, thank you 😊
Jeanica2Natural LOL!!! Thank youu. My brows look different every day... I have a good brow day like 3 to 5 times out of the year LOL still praying for eyebrow insurance. 👐👐👐😢😂
Thank you for the simplicity of it all......in the process of healing my damaged hair from medication and this will help me tremendously Thanks sis , also all hairstyles look great on you
GirlyGirl YESSS!!!!!!! 💖💖💖 I love when you all recreate the styles 😢 such awesome motivation and encouragement for me. I appreciate you! Thanks for watching.
Thank you!!!! I have been searching for a video that shows me in DETAIL how to twist using the rubber band method to where I can actually see what you’re doing 🙏🏽 very beautiful!!
yasss girl yass... this is so about to happen in my life. the gold thread gold accents thickness...all each style you displayed is life. thanks girl. this is so what's up
yourgirljazzy I'm not either but it was so easy. I wasn't able to use this hair cause my local beauty supply didn't have it. I used freetress equal Jamaican Twist and it was 5.99. I still use 5 bags and 20 twist. Some braids had six the ones around my edges I used 5 but... It was so easy
I'm so glad I found this video! I did a google search and saw this thumbnail picture and looked for a stylist to do this, but they are charging so much so I googled the picture again to get a better look because I'm just going to do the style myself but thank God this time I also found the video!
yes yes! this is my signature hairstle but you took it to another level. love being a black woman and all the amazing things our hair can do!. spring/summer 2019 here i come :)
I have super soft hair and it’s butt length. I do my Marley twists myself bc they tend to slip after just a couple days and that’s not worth the money. Someone suggested using rubber bands but I was worried about breakage. Your method seams soooooo much safer! I cant wait to try it.
I think I am officially in love with you! First, I found this tutorial online while I was at work. I've been having problems with my speakers so I wasn't able to hear it only watch it. That alone was enough for me I was in love with the style and the ease! So, I told myself as soon as I leave work I am going to go and get some hair. When I got in my car I said let me listen again so I can actually hear it this time. so I pulled it up on my phone and the very first thing that struck me was the soundtrack being by Masego! And then, senorita on top of that! My favorite song! if I thought that in itself wasn't enough for you to be my most favorite person in the world, I subscribed to your page and found out that you two are a weight loss person! I went from 268 to 155. All natural no surgery. So I know your struggle. you are awesome
Aniesha Scott I get it, I was nervous too. For this reason, I began with an extensive moisture routine to show HOW important it is in order for this style to be protective. If the hair acts as a dry medium, the rubber bands will certainly cause damage/breakage. ☺ Thanks for watching.
Aniesha Scott get the bands that are more like clear elastic than actual rubber. You can find them at your local beauty supply! They slide out the hair or actually break themselves when you go to take the twists out. That’s the kind I’m using!
This is exactly what I was looking for. Not too small and easy to spruce up after gym sessions. Plan to use some leftover spring twists to see the effect first but will make them just as chunky
OMG...I NEVER do my own hair but baby...when I say I DID this! As Soon as I stepped out the house I got major compliments. Thank You! Sending love from Detroit XOXOXOXOXOXO
I LOVE this method!! Will definitely be trying this on my sister. she has WAY too much hair, lol, so we usually just put it away. She will LOVE this. The first style was my favorite!
juicy curls sometimes it can look heavy but it feels light. Thats why I asked. I had puffy twist before and it looked just like this style but was heavy.
Thank you for this video. I just did my hair like that of course it's not that perfect lol for a short vacation. I get a lot of compliments thanks to you ♡♡♡
Since my taper cut is growing out, my edges are still short. I originally thought of using the rubber band method and crocheting the marley hair through. I never thought to do this! Thank you so much.
Black women are so beautiful, I love how versatile we wear our crowns. Simply amazing!
I love being black!!!!! Thank you so much for this!
Kay Dt IKR!!!
I'm
Trying this next and I am no longer afraid to express my hairstyle in a corporate setting this is my next style hair is me and I am my hair 😍
I used to be very apprehensive, as well. A little texture never hurt anybody. M Sawyer I was just thinking about trying this hairstyle but was worried about the reaction I will get from my job.
M Sawyer story of my life. As an attorney, I totally get it. I usually wear my hair in a bun or something conservative to work.

This is spot on. I am a beginner and can barely do hair but this was so simple and easy to follow. I watched this video yesterday and did the hair style the next day. It doesn't take long at all. I did this style since I am going camping and didn't want to bother with my hair.

The excitement that I feel when watching this video! I could actually do this myself... You even included styles... BOMB
I already bought the hair to try this style! I am not good at doing my own hair but this looks too easy not to try!
yourgirljazzy I wish you the best of luck! I believe in you! ☺
How did it come out
Kayadore it was easy and quick but my hair was a little too silky for the style bc it kept separating from the braiding hair.
yourgirljazzy cool add me on the snap Marveless_kay, cause I do hair aswell and don't charge much
yourgirljazzy I'm not either but it was so easy.
**runs screaming too the hair store**
Oh my I've been in love with these forever. Came across your tutorial and have done them twice since then. Thank you and they are so easy to do.

I love you lol
OMG...I NEVER do my own hair but baby...when I say I DID this! As Soon as I stepped out the house I got major compliments. Thank You! Sending love from Detroit XOXOXOXOXOXO
YESSS💓😘😘😘
WOW SOOO FUCKING GORGEOUS💘😍😍😍
MAKEUP ON FLEEK AS WELL❤💘😻😻😻😻🌹
I LOVE this method!! Will definitely be trying this on my sister. she has WAY too much hair, lol, so we usually just put it away. She will LOVE this. The first style was my favorite!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
#NoWordsNeeded
I am doing this style while watching this Tutorial step by step. Thank you so much for this!
Is the hair heavy?
Erica Shell clearly
juicy curls sometimes it can look heavy but it feels light. Thats why I asked. I had puffy twist before and it looked just like this style but was heavy.
Magdala Jean-Jules Thanks
Tastepink mentions in the description box that it's not heavy. But, I just mimicked this style last night. It's pretty heavy to me.
Very beautiful. The side ponytail is my favorite.
I love it.. however your calling has to be something that has to do with poetry or maybe a MC. nice voice lol
Love watching your videos. Sound like that good friend who always had your back and keeps it real...
Thanks for this great tutorial, I installed mine this morning and I absolutely love them.
Girl this hair is everything! I'm a rock this out the remainder of the summer.
