This was extremely helpful! I didn't know about the pfSense bridge option, but with your instructions was able to bridge a vlan (from a vlan trunk) to another local physical ethernet port. So now the pfSense bridge is serving DHCP to the local port and the ports on a managed switch attached to the vlan. Thank you!
Congralutions! I have two pfsenses: PF1 with m wan and lan (dhcp enabled) PF 2 - LAN (Receiving dhcp from PF1). Both are seen inside the dhcp network. But with the wan (real) ip I can't access PF2 (internal IP) even with Nat on different ports for each. Firewall rules all released.
Hi, is it possible to pass through PPPoE connection on LAN going out to WAN? My Pfsense WAN connected on a switch and Router with PPPoE connected to its LAN. When the router connects to switch, it authenticates but when connecting to LAN of Pfsense it doesn't. Pfsense configured as transparent proxy so it should just let it pass. Can you give possible issue with my setup? New to Pfsense btw. Thank you in advance.
So by creating a bridge with, for example, three 100 Mb connections between your pfSense server and your main switch, you can increase the effective speed between your WAN connection to your switch to 300 Mb? Sorry if this is a painfully obvious question.
rather, i believe it's the opposite. bridging three 100mbit ports allows them combined to only handle 100mbit, or 33mbit per port if they're all used equally.
@@emraef Turns out it’s a hybrid. Each connection is 100 mps but a file can only travel on one connection. So a single file doesn’t see any speed increase. But there is an increasing for multiple files, each on one of the 3 lanes. Kind of like adding train tracks at a station. The trains aren’t faster but 3 at once can be active.

Thank You! Very helpful and I have all 3 of my NICs working together!
You're welcome!
This is the video which i am waiting for
Just installed pfsense, and this was an excellent sharing for a clueless like me. Many thanks.
You're welcome!
Your videos are always useful, go on👍
This tutorial have been so useful, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

Thanks for video.
Please do the video of how to create own DyDDNS dynamic server.
I was able to create the bridge & DHCP/DNS is working fine but port to port is not working?
thank you so much
You're welcome!

Is the DHCP server required for bridging or is it otional?
It’s definitely not required if you have a different DHCP server or if you are assigning everything statically.

waht?
You can tutorial setup block site for squid
Why would you be needing to use a Bridge LAN?
Because I think
If I want Lan 1 and Lan 2 Lan 3.... also 1 network layer
instead use Lan 1 then connect to 1 switch
Привет, как на pfsense настроить соединение локальных сетей через интернет l2tp/IPsec?
Now, Create interface vlan on Bridge, Please!!!!
Pls do the same video with ovpn, wireguard and suricata on pfsense! +)
ok it works but i cant see any of the other computers on the network?!??!?!?!
I had the same problem. did you find a solution?
Clients connect to each port is not able to ping one another
