CZ 1012 "Gas-Less" Hunting Shotgun

  • What if hunters could have a semi-automatic shotgun capable of running 5,000 rounds “without a drop of oil or cleaning of any sort” and no breakages or malfunctions? That almost sounds too good to be true, but then again, perhaps you haven’t pulled the trigger on CZ’s new 1012. Are those manufacturer’s claims all talk or will the 1012 be the most reasonably priced, gas-less repeater on the market today?

    The second CZ I now own was the 1012 the reason I picked the 1012 was because CZ has proven to me after owning my rifle for a few years they do make quality firearms. I’m very happy with the 1012 so far

    You are smooth handling the gun. I’ve seen some clowns fumbling around with trying to load the shotgun through the bottom load ramp while the bolt is open and saying why can’t it load😂. Great review and handling. Thanks

    I just bought this gun a week ago and initially the recoil with low brass loads was better than I expected but I wanted to see how it would do with a nice recoil pad.
    So I bought the LimbSaver 10807 precision fit AirTech and wow! I shot 200-300 rounds at the range today no problem. My shoulder feels fine and the fit and finish of the gun and new pad are awesome.
    Highly recommend the CZ 1012 bronze with the LimbSaver 10807 AirTech pad!

      The 10807 on Amazon should fit all wood stock CZ 1012s but may not fit the synthetic model. If you are unsure, then visit limbsavers website and print off their fitment guide sheet for all of there recoil pads. Take off the factory recoil pad and put the bare stock on the guide sheet and see what size recoil pad fits your stock.

    I picked one up to try. Was going to try a couple rounds of trap with it for a test but didn’t because It was shooting low. I had to shim it. I did pattern it with the modified choke and it was a good pattern at around 30 yds. I ran four 2 3/4” shells of #8 Federal at 1200 fps through it single loaded. Each shell locked the bolt open as they should. Recoil is not bad at all, but I have no experience shooting a gas shotgun. Not much of a test, but it ran fine out of the box.

  • @javoratree3861
    @javoratree3861 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Bought one and couldn’t return it fast enough. Only works properly when you first put a cartridge into the breach and close the action then load the magazine tube. Otherwise it will try to feed two cartridges into the action when you pull the charging handle. This goes against years of training and even hunters safety all those years ago.
    The coating on the metal frame scratches so easy. Doesn’t look like it’s designed to last. The included chokes appeared cheaply made and have since seen review of the tubes warping and expanding. The action emitted dust and a weird smell when cycling the action. Appears to be the coating being scraped off.
    It looks absolutely beautiful mounted on the wall in the gun store. But feels and handles like pot metal junk. The front sight looks cheap as well. I guess if you wanted to buy a shotgun to mount above the fireplace but never use it then this is the shotgun for you. You get what you pay for. Second time I’ve had a bad experience with CZ, there won’t be a third.

      Here is some info about the type of chokes available. It's hard to look for a spec model for the type of chokes you're looking for. Here is the DESCRIPTIONS of the CHOKES you are checking to match.... ALL CHOKE TUBES FOR CZ USA SHOTGUNS
      CZ O/U 12 gauge manufactured from 2005-present interchanges with Muller Beretta/Benelli Mobil threaded chokes.....The words: "Beretta/Benelli Mobil" is the key words your are looking for. Don't forget the word, "Mobil"...that's the standard. Something like this one, Patternmaster 12 Gauge Benelli Beretta Mobile Long Range Choke Tube 5005, www.amazon.com/Patternmaster-Benelli-Beretta-Mobile-Classic/dp/B07GFS75GZ/ref=rtpb_3/140-8831163-0848161?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07GFS75GZ&pd_rd_r=fee4b3e8-005f-46f1-9fe5-bf3d07250a2b&pd_rd_w=ECQGv&pd_rd_wg=Z4Qv9&pf_rd_p=1060fc32-cc06-48f1-987d-6b74a57cd8f2&pf_rd_r=2R0EVXNVCC0VZMB58CVE&psc=1&refRID=2R0EVXNVCC0VZMB58CVE Good luck and hope it helps.

    cz is a low quality brand. 5000 shots? big deal. huglu veyron did a test with over 14000 shots without cleaning and its a gas operated gun! there is a video on you tube where a russian guy hasnt cleaned a working ata neo for 13 years! as in bang for your buck no one comes even close to turkish guns
