I thought this was nonsense. But tried it out in my Vectra, and it turns out it actually is TRUE. I have the EML on, and now i had error code 0597 flashing, thermostat faulty. And yes, my thermostat IS actually knackered !
Yup i tried it on my combo 1.3cdti first i pressed brake too hard i tried again and googled numbers and that explains rough start + i need to step on gas to start engine and poor idle. Google says it is some air intake temp too low then maf sensor and glowplug. Nice trick
Hi can I just ask, the other lights that are on the oil battery and other one they was on all the way through does that mean you have a fault on the oil and battery or do they just stay there till you start the car?
Ashlee Baker they stay on untill you start the car, then they go off after the car has been started if they stay on after the car has been started you need oil or your battery needs replacing. your welcome.
what if I place my scanner after reseting the engine light. is it gonna find that something is actually wrong? im buying a mazda 3 tomorrow and I have my scanner. but im afraid the seller reset the engine light and my scanner wont find anything. I have a innova 3040c car scanner
What he means is that number of flashes corresponds to a number: 1 2 3.. (10 being zero). Every brief pause indicates next number in the sequence of 4. Every long pause indicates new error code. So error code: 0650 equals to 10 flashes - pause - 6 flashes - pause - 5 flashes - pause - 10 flashes, if you get longer pause it means another error code, etc.
Powse is how your ears hear "pause" in a European accent (German, Dutch, Polish...?) Now if you could do the same video in their language without getting this sort of stupid call-out, you'll be doing fine...
