    Some of the suspensions and the length of them depends on how many times they have been spoken to about their playing style. The swinging clothesline was under watch after a player died on the field. This incident happened in New Zealand in 1994, which resulted in the player having his windpipe snapped in half. The player was only 21. It was a match between two Sth Auckland teams. The term ‘bring back the biff’ has been talked about a lot over the years. Just players getting cranky with each other and having a punch on, as you saw sometimes all of the players got involved 😂😂, they were just letting some steam off. Some of the fights were funny others just brutal.

    Kade Snowden got 7 matches because it was a pure shoulder charge- no attempt to wrap the arms and make a proper tackle. The shoulder charge is an outlawed tackling technique to begin with, so along with breaking the guys jaw he got a long suspension. It might seem confusing because yes you are supposed to tackle with your shoulder- but it is clear to players when the shoulder is used as part of a legal tackle or when you are just tucking the arm in and pure shoulder charging.

    Any serious incident including sendoffs goes to the league judiciary the following week, often suspensions for further games and fines are levied, based on the severity and the player's prior record of conduct. Early guilty pleas by the player can incur reduced punishment or they argue the case with a sort of proceeding akin to a legal trial

    Four games coming to Las Vegas on March 1, 2025 at Allegiant Stadium...4 NRL sides (Aus), 2 Superleague sides (U.K) & 2 womens international sides Australia vs England...so four games over the weekend in Vegas

    You're not alone guys. (25:00) The Australian public often wonder at some of the dodgy decisions of the judiciary. (Bordering on who the hell is paying them)

    Most of these send offs came about in a time when the rules of the game were in transition. Most of the problems were caused by couches watching & learning from your nfl.

    • @RealFansSports
      @RealFansSports  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      How does it come from learning from the NFL? I do not get the deflection to the NFL when NRL has their own owners and teams/organizations that make decisions on rules and punishments

      @@RealFansSportshe might be referring to cte and the affect headknocks have. A lot of this changes happened after the research that come out of the nfl

      @RealFansSports  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@adenmeaney1 Yeah and that makes sense. The story as to why they started studying it actually very sad. Junior Seau unalived himself and left a note saying that something was wrong with his head and it needed to be studied. Sow when he did it he took the barrel and put it to his chest to preserve his brain for research.
      The guy made it seem like it was a negative thing and an insult to "my NFL" lol. But it is hard to tell intent when it comes to messages.

    A defender MUST use their arms when attempting a tackle. The seven match ban was because he made no attempt to tackle the attacking player within the rules, he simply stood his ground and offered his shoulder. Really really poor, deserved seven weeks.

    • @RealFansSports
      @RealFansSports  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@simonmartin3864 just shows the differences between nfl league. A good form tackle in the NFL is to lower the shoulder to initiate the contact to chest and then wrap up when following to the ground

    • @chrismas8797
      @chrismas8797 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @RealFansSports So perfect tackling technique in the NRL is a 2 on 1 tackle. 1 player will make contact with the chest and the ball and wrap their arms around securing the ball and preventing an offload (pass while being tackled), and the second player will duck low and tackle the legs to stop the attackers forward momentum and bring them to the ground. 1 on 1 Tackles you have 2 options go high and prevent the offload however the players can still drive with their legs and make post contact metres until they are brought down or you can go low and wrap up their legs and get them to the ground quicker but risk giving up the offload. In the NRL the defensive lines goal is to stay as a line and move forward to meet the attackers without giving up gaps in the line. A lot of the time with high tackles are because players are rushing up out of the line trying to make a bit hit and potentially get the attacker to knock on or lose metres and momentum which is risky cause if the player has good footwork they can step (juke) them and then there's a gap in the line. Rushing out of the line to put a big hit on is risky cause you could give away a penalty/line break/try if you miss but if you get the big hit it really fires up the defense.

    25:09 Anthony Minichiello is regarded as one of the good guys so i cant specifically remember this incident but it may have been his first one sent to the judiciary so his rap sheet may have been clean and hence why he may have gotten off as this did happen back then. Mini had a tragic run of injuries and missed almost 3 years due to the deterioration of his spinal cord. He changed his whole relationship with food and is now probably even fitter than when he retired almost 10 years ago. I cant recall Mini being hit with too many charges in his career. I know I may be biased, but you will find alot of nonsense jibber about how the roosters are cheaters blah blah blah. They are the only club to have played every game since 1908 and are very good at managing the salary cap and to everyone else it means we are cheaters. There are many teams I dislike but its my opinion and will add no value to you by sharing it. They should have done a video based on the early 2000's as a roosters player named Adrian Morley had a regular appearance at the judiciary. Still loved the guy but it was a miracle if he got through a whole game 🤣

    Gotta remember majority of the decisions to send players off aren't by the on field ref but by the bunker. The on field ref is just the messenger & the one that cops the abuse by players, crowd, coaches & commentators

    Minichiello played for the Sydney Roosters, who have a small fanbase due to there being a lot of Sydney area teams, but they have very wealthy fans. It's like if New York City had 8 NFL teams , the team for the upper east side of Manhattan would have a lot of multimillionaire fans, and they might then be able to use the influence that wealth buys to get away with things relating to the judiciary or perhaps the, ahem, Salary Cap. This is the popular perception of the Roosters
